My name is Jenny Hansen Lane, I'm a Lexington Kentucky Wedding Photographer. I specialize in creative and modern portraits with a timeless look. I am best known for my editorial approach of posing and composition and for capturing and highlighting your moments with a documentary flair. I've been studying images from years which contributes to each image I create.
I'm transparent in my work to strive for honest images, but to obtain a shot, I'm not afraid to remove debris or anything that may be distracting to the composition of the image. In 2009, I began documenting weddings in Utah, Idaho, California and Arizona. My portrait and video work has taken me to NYC, Connecticut, Chicago, Mexico and Australia.

I walk into an Anthropologie store and the weight of my worries are immediately lifted from my shoulders. It smells romantic and my visual senses are stimulated. I spot a chunky wooden authentic hand crafted coffee table imported from Indonesia. I wonder what those hands look like, the hands that built this piece.
Sometimes I do it (hiding) to make other people comfortable- (false thinking) but I have now learned that if I don't let my truth live, how will I be able to help anybody including myself. I didn't even think to cancel on them, even though it felt like my whole world have been cancelled! I showed up and put on my game face and created some of my best work to that date.
He told me where he stood and let me make the move. I approach photography the same way. If you haven't had a good photo of yourself, it's because you haven't met the right photographer yet. I'm the one. I'm a image maker with thousands of hours of practice. A bachelors degree in Fine ARTS that actually took longer because I wanted to get it right.

Jen is the type of photographer that has such a calming presence that she can make everyone feel calm, cool and collected. (Even when there is mass chaos) She always knows what to say and when to say it and in the perfect moment! Her ability to connect makes her the type of photographer you want to hire. She not only has impeccable skill, her own unique flair, and a creative brain but she can bring anyone’s natural personality out. We had the honor of working with Jenny at a recent Premiere Wedding in town. Jenny's talent and creativity are visible in every single one of the hundreds of pictures that were taken throughout the night.
