We are a full service hair studio located in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. Our group of independent stylists are hooked on continuing education and love offering our clients the most modern services and treatments. We have carefully selected to carry Innersense Organic Beauty- an organic, non-toxic hair care line. We've also chosen Hairstory- a minimalist/all natural line, and Reverie- an organic, ethically-harvested, reparative line.

We brought our daughter in to see Jessica for her first haircut in years, managing her hair and convincing her to cut it has been a battle for years, Jessica was so patient and wonderful in bringing out the confidence in our shy 10 year old. Her hair cut and style look awesome and we all left the salon pleased, that rarely happens 🤣.

Jessica does an amazing job on all hair types. Mine is wavy/frizzy and she hits the mark every time! I've been going to her for years!
Love the vibe in this space; the stylists are all so chill & friendly. Great neighborhood to go have a "you do you" kind of day.

I only moved to Kansas City in June and I can't believe the luck I had to magically find Opal & Orchid on my first try when I needed my hair cut. Kayla is so talented, and she is so easy-going and fun to talk to. Scheduling with her is a dream (even if I might have written the date down on the calendar wrong -- thanks again for being so accommodating, Kayla!) and I love her work!! <3 <3

I love everything about Opal and Orchid: the Crossroads location, atmosphere, online booking, the products, and especially Kayla Albright! She does an amazing job with my hair, especially the bangs, it's so hard to find someone that is great with thick bangs. I have a hard head of hair to tame (fine hair with a cowlick in the front AND the back). Kayla is the only person in KC that I will trust with it - regardless of how close our neighborhood hair salon is located. Each time I have visited Opal&Orchid, I have walked away very happy and quite satisfied!

Kayla is absolutely amazing, I trust no one else with my hair, especially my bangs. It is so hard to find someone that can cut bangs correctly and I'm so happy I found my go-to lady! And I'm so excited she has her own salon now, I know it will do great :)
