Fair Funeral Home serves Rockingham County & a large region including families in southern Virginia. Alva Fair who received his Funeral Director and Embalming license in 1921 served the county area and later was the founder of Fair Funeral Home dating back to 1934. His sons, James and Charles, carried on the family tradition until retiring in the mid-1990's.
Fair Funeral Home is a state-of-the-art facility, offering traditional viewing and procession services, cremation programs, military honors, and special family requests. Fair also offers professional guidance for those requesting Pre-Planning, internment options, and grief counseling. Vital ICE provides a platform on which to list your (and your dependents, if applicable) vital medicinal information, such as blood type, allergies, medications, medical history, ICE contacts, and much more. This information will then be readily available to EMS and other First Responders when they need it most.

I have a friend that was here for a family members funeral and I have to say, it seemed VERY unprofessional.. few things - number of chairs for family at the grave was not correct so some people had to stand. Upon arriving, everything was not set up as they were told it would be. And the biggest thing, an unmarked grave was dug instead of the one needed to be so they had to dig another grave for this funeral. I’d like to say I’m very disappointed. Along with the people who paid money(in which they SHOULD be refunded) to be able to lay their family to rest BUT for the most part.. these people
