Services
Dental bonding is the procedure where we apply a tooth colored plastic material to a patient's tooth. Using a special light, the material hardens and bonds the material to the tooth. Dental bonding is used to improve a patient's smile. It can be used on cracked and decaying teeth. It also can be used for cavities.
Crowns have a variety of uses. In some cases that require a large filling, there isn't enough tooth remaining to keep the filling in place. A crown can strengthen the tooth and hold the filling. Crowns can also protect teeth that are weak, or help fix ones that are broken. Discolored or misshaped teeth can be covered by a crown, as can dental implants.
We are proud to offer dental implants for our patients. Dental implants are roots placed in your mouth for either permanent teeth to be placed on or ones that you can remove. When done correctly, and with proper care, dental implants can last a patient's whole life. It is still important to brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash when you have implants.
Dental fillings are used to fill cavities and repair cracked or broken teeth. Fillings can be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam, but is most commonly done with materials called composite resin fillings that are designed to match the color of your teeth. Additional steps are required for tooth-colored fillings because it requires multiple layers and a special light to dry and harden the area around the filling.
Oral cancer will typically show up as white or red patches or lesions inside of your mouth. You may even notice the lesions on your tongue or on the floor of your mouth. Many people experience a hard time swallowing, bleeding in the mouth, or even swelling in your face or neck. Since this specific cancer can look like a burn inside of your mouth, dentists will typically wait to see if it goes away.

I have been to three other Dentist , with horrifying results. Dr.Ross was the only one to take my dilemma seriously. He was very informative, very patient, and listen to my story. He assured me he could handle my situation, without intense pain, and professionally. This was the best decision, I have ever made, and his word and service have held true .I can't thank him enough.

I am new to the area, so this was my first visit to Rhinebeck Dental Care. I felt warmly welcomed! Sandy, the hygienist, was kind, informative and thorough, yet gentle. Dr. Ross was welcoming and thorough. I never felt pressured into unnecessary work or procedures. I highly recommend this professional group!

We recently moved to the Rhinebeck area and needed a dentist. The office staff put my name on a wait list and called when they had an opening. Everyone at the office is warm, efficient and highly professional.
The hygienist immediately put me at ease (even under the more challenging circumstances related to Covid) and did an excellent cleaning. Dr. Richard Ross did the examination after the cleaning and answered my questions and was very knowledgable and reassuring. The entire process was painless. I intend to return and to schedule appointments for my children. Highly recommend this practice
