Founders Everett McCarver and Roland Moser met in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1970s. Moser, an employee at a Swiss Watch Corporation, and McCarver, a pre-law student, instantly hit it off. Roland Moser was born and raised in Switzerland. He always had a passion for timepieces, so he learned the trade at an early age and became a Swiss watchmaker, working for Rolex and studying jewelry design in Paris.
After traveling and living in Switzerland, Lucerne, Geneva and Paris, both men developed a deeper appreciation and passion for the art of fine jewelry. The two then decided to move to Florida to embark on a new business journey. In 1979, McCarver & Moser Jewelers was born. The famous two-story granite and glass building is now a beacon in downtown Sarasota.

The Lauren K Collection is comprised entirely of handpicked gemstones, crafted in 18 karat gold, and finished with delicate micro pave. Each stone is carefully selected for a variety of reasons. In fact, very few are ever chosen for their unspoiled beauty. Instead, most stand out for their characters and flaws which give the finished piece its own distinctive personality and unique look.
Our involvement throughout the diamond supply chain - from sourcing rough diamonds through cutting-and-polishing in our own factory, to jeweler design and production, and sales from our seven offices on five continents - gives us the global depth and reach to satisfy the most demanding clients throughout the world.
Our Four C's of Diamonds guide can help you decide on the most important factors when shopping for a diamond. The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring. The greater the carat weight, the rarer, and more valuable the diamond becomes.
Some people want to buy the biggest diamond possible. Is this always the right choice? The larger the diamond, chances are the more inclusions it likely has, and because it's larger, these inclusions are typically even more visible than on a smaller diamond. But most importantly, if the diamond cut isn't proportioned correctly, it won't return the maximum amount of light through the top of the diamond.
Solitaire settings are great if you have a stunning singular stone that has been passed down through the generations as an heirloom, many choose to display it in a classic Solitaire setting. This setting generally allows for the maximum amount of sparkle by allowing light to pass in through the bottom sections of the ring.

Nati and staff were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to deliver superior service, incredibly fast turnaround, and their quality of work is excellent! The new location is beautiful and boasts an impressive selection of well-curated pieces. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a special piece and expert jewelry service.

I had taken them 2 very old watches looking for repairs on one and cleaning and a new watch face for the old band on the other. I was treated with amazing customer service and respect even those I look younger than their normal crowd. Not only where they able to help me, they went above and beyond with more than I thought they could even do. I will always now shop here before anywhere else.

I went into the store to talk about a piece of jewelry. I went in knowing what I had. The piece was a $1200.00 piece. I asked if they could give me information on the piece. I was told it was worth it's weight in scrap. I thanked them and left. Very pompous! And rude.
I knew going in it would be this way as they are on St. Armands so that gives them the right to feel very upscale.
They should never judge a book by it's cover!
I will never stop by again.
