My name is Katrina Lay and I am so excited to be the director of Jack and Jill Pre-School! I have a Bachelor of Human Services degree with a concertation in Early Childhood Education and Early Intervention. I have been involved with this school since 2013 when my youngest son attended. I have worked in various early childhood setting since 2001.
We spent a fantastic eight years in the halls of Jack and Jill while our daughters each went through their programs. It's a wonderful feeling being able to drop off your child at school knowing that they will be cared for and nurtured by teachers and staff who love them as unconditionally as you do yourself.
Our mixed age program is appropriate for children ages 3-5. This classroom will use a play based approach to learning through center based curriculum. Children are also exposed to Handwriting Without Tears curriculum that is used in the Attleboro Public Schools. In this program children bring a snack to school.
Our Pre-K program is appropriate for 4 and 5 year olds who will be entering Kindergarten the following year, and for children who are eligible for Kindergarten but not ready to make that step. The curriculum is designed by our talented teaching team and is more academically focused than our other programs.
