Established in 2000, The Roadhouse Mexican Bar & Grill is a year-round mainstay in Benzie County. Chef Miguel draws on his childhood in northern Mexico and love for its food to develop exclusive recipes that attract visitors and locals to dine at The Roadhouse again and again. Located on US-31 at the top of the hill in Benzonia, Michigan the Roadhouse is just steps away from beautiful Crystal Lake.
We are a first-come-first-served restaurant and do not take reservations or call ahead seating. Our prices are family-friendly - including a kids menu for little amigos under 12. Carry-out phone orders are now available. 4 Chilean pastries fried golden brown, filled with seasoned mashed potatoes, green peppers, onions, corn, Monterey Jack and cream cheese | 8.95.

Happened by this place while in a road trip and was pleasantly surprised! Really delicious food, good cocktails and we liked the salsa so much we bought some to take home and eat later. It was my husband's birthday and they gave him his entree for free and thankfully didn't do any of that obnoxious, embarrassing tomfoolery that so many restaurants do when you go for a birthday. Classy, clean, super friendly staff and great food.

My husband and I have made a tradition of going here for our birthdays for the past three years. We love this place! The service is always fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious! You get a free meal on your birthday, too. Their portions are very generous at a reasonable price. And if you're too stuffed to finish your plate there, it makes for tasty leftovers. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the mood for a good Mexican meal.

Stopped in after a great day celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and had us an AMAZING dinner to end off the night. Luckily we didn't have a wait to get in, our server was very attentive, made great suggestions, and the food......is exactly what I was looking for in an authentic Mexican restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful dinner here last night for my birthday. The patio was super cute - think hanging lights, succulents, and bright blue umbrellas. Our waitress was friendly and fun, and the food was spectacular. Seriously, if it was socially acceptable to lick my plate I would have done so in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!

Pulled up to the restaurant at 5pm on Tuesday evening and found no parking right in front... Either this place is that good or people are parked here for something else. We pulled into the parking spaces just down the way on a side street and walked to the restaurant. We had to put our name in for a 30 minute wait, so apparently it's that good!
