Amoroso Jewelers set out to provide the residents of Boston with educated appraisals, gemstone identification, and GIA diamond nomenclature. For this reason, Robert Amoroso became the first graduate gemologist to open a gem lab in the area. John Amoroso and Denise Cote have received their GIA diplomas.

We had a great experience finding a wedding band that compliments my engagement ring. The staff is so lovely, down to earth and clearly vey experienced in helping customers find what they looking for in a band. John has been in the business for over 40 years and he gave us helpful candid input on the trade offs between using our own stones versus purchasing one of their rings. Amoroso jewelers is outstanding. I pitched my wife's engagement ring, wedding bands from them and had nothing but positive experiences. I wrote a review of Amoroso several years ago, but it was removed in error. My husband purchased my engagement ring there, and we purchased our wedding bands there along with a pair of cuff links for my husband. Amoroso did a great job of turning my grandmother's engagement ring into an engagement ring and pair of earrings for me. The customer service was great. They really helped me sort out the pros and cons of white gold versus platinum for example. They were always friendly and happy to accommodate me. I highly recommend them!

I can't recommend Amoroso highly enough. It is staffed by true, certified experts who are willing to take the time to help you get exactly what you want, or at least as close as possible within your budget... I designed and bought my wife a diamond necklace here, and they helped my choose a stone, setting and chain, which they even cut to a weird length on request. I went to Amoroso looking for an engagement ring. While I ultimately did not buy my ring here I still feel the need to give them a good review. Bob took several hours to show diamonds, all of which were in my price range and never pushed me to increase it. He also took the time to listen to what I wanted, I was very vague, and worked with me to make sure I saw a wide selection. I never felt pressured and I could ask all the questions I wanted.

I purchased my fiance's engagement ring at Amoroso. I highly recommend them and would buy a ring there over any other jeweler in the area. I first stopped by Barmakian and they would only show me one diamond at a time. They just weren't as friendly and knowledgeable as the staff at Amoroso. I met Bob today while starting to shop for THE RING. He is a salesman but that is his job and I don't knock him for that. Last July I went to the jeweler's building in Downtown Crossing to check out some jewelry stores.
