I just received a review from home inspector Mike Fowler of Functional Photo for some clients. He did a thorough and professional job and comes with decades of experience as a contractor and in regards to wells. His reports are neatly organized and contain lots of additional value in the form of maintenance suggestions and timelines. He is available for home inspections and well flow and water quality tests. I will recommend Mike of Functional Photo to other clients. P.S. He did my home a few years ago.

Run the other way!! We had our home inspected by Michael Fowler of Functional Foto and found him rude and his cursory inspection missed numerous and obvious areas of concern that would have factored into our decision to purchase this home. For example mice had invaded the attic with ample evidence of mouse droppings and urine within inches of the access door to the attic. I removed a large bag of rodent droppings from the crawlspace beneath the house (not to mention urine), something that was impossible to miss unless not looking. The areas around toilets showed obvious evidence of seal leakage

We actually spent the money to hire two home inspectors on the same home (we wanted to be extra carful!).
Mike's report stood out in length (84 pages), and attention to detail. He found several electrical safety hazards and other issues that the other inspector completely missed!
What my wife and I liked most about Mike's report is that he not only provided us a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed, he also included information about materials and cost-effective DIY approaches that will be saving us money as we begin improving our home, using his inspection report as our guide
