I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in photography at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and started this business in 2007. 2007-2017 we concentrated on capturing weddings and portraits, while keeping our creative projects in other genres going behinds the scenes. Due to the demand, 2018 marked the year we decided to expand into a creative imagery company offering our services across multiple platforms.
That meant scaling up, and being prepared to do it all, and do it right! I am married to the absolute love of my life, my sweet Caitlin. We met right here in San Luis Obispo, fell in love, and decided to set our roots and make this place we love our home. In the Fall of 2015 and 2017 we were blessed with our two daughters Penny and Millie, who have made our lives even more enchanting!

Jay was the perfect photographer for us! We really appreciated his professionalism, while keeping a relaxed vibe and helping us feel stress-free in general as well as in front of the cameras. We love how both the engagement session and wedding photos turned out, and we'll be able to cherish those memories forever. His relaxed and friendly style really helped to make us comfortable in front of the camera and the results show it. Initially, we picked Jay from a list of preferred vendors because out of all the photographer's portfolios, his had amazing outdoor lighting, and our wedding was outside at a barn/vineyard. After having worked with him, there are SO many more reasons we would recommend Jay!! We are both semi-awkward picture takers, and somehow he captured about 1000 amazing shots of my husband and I in a very natural, fun and easy-going setting during our engagement shoot. The wedding day pics came out beautifully too, with so much color and natural light to them. Jay is also very prompt to respond during the planning

Jay's skills for our wedding were incredible! He put everyone at ease right away for our special destination day in Lake Tahoe. He caught every detail, was the most put together of all of our vendors, and made it all simple! We could not have had a better team and we will treasure these photos forever.

I was the happiest bride in the world this January, and Jay and his wife played a HUGE part in that! My extended family was fortunate enough to celebrate 4 weddings this past year, and the vote was unanimous that Jay was the best photographer of the year! Jay worked with my new husband and I on every aspect of photo planning leading up to the wedding, and was a key player in setting us at ease and making the photo-shoot go off without a hitch!

Jay took our engagement and wedding pictures and I am beyond happy with both sets of photographs. I have to admit, I am pretty picky when it comes to photography. Anyone can pick up a camera and take a picture but it takes a true artist to capture how something feels. When I look back at my wedding pictures, I feel the indescribable love and joy I felt on that day.

When you're planning your special day, you've got a slew of tasks on your list. What I found most helpful is if you have vendors that are easy to talk to, supportive, and fun! I knew that I wanted to invest in a great photographer because these are memories captured FOREVER. After many failed meetings with photographers here in San Diego, I looked around online. With the help of a friend we found Jay! He photographed one of the weddings in San Diego that my friend knew about. After my husband and I met Jay via Google chat we already knew he was "the one." Finding Jay as our photographer was serendipitous. I wasn't having much success finding a photographer, and was ranting to my girlfriend about it. She had recently been a BM in a wedding and said the bride's photographer was awesome and asked if I wanted his info. I was already jaded with my search and said "sure...send info my way."
Long story short, Jay had us at "Hello". Loved his website, his pricing was reasonable and all we had left was to interview him on the phone to see if he was a "fit". Any bride who's planning her own wedding knows it's important you click with your vendors! My husband

Jay and his assistant/wife did an amazing job at our wedding by capturing all the special moments that we can now remember for the rest of our lives. His creativity and artistic ability in his work is exactly what my wife and I were looking for. We wanted the standard formal shots, but the fun casual ones too with the funky angles, pictures that showed the love and laughter on our special day, and the small details such as the shoes, rings, and vows.
