We block off up to 90 minutes for evaluations and will assess you from head to toe. We understand that a proper diagnosis and prognosis involves a thorough assessment and interview process. Because of injuries, our habits and our environment, certain muscles become under-used and weak. We provide a detailed corrective exercise program to help restore your strength and stability.
Root & Branch Physical Therapy uses WHOOP to help monitor your heart rate 24 hours per day. With your heart rate data WHOOP can calculate the physical strain you experience each day and the recovery you experience each night. By tracking your strain and recovery patterns WHOOP then gives you suggestions on what to do to optimize recovery to improve your physical and mental performance.
We accept most major insurance plans offered in the state of Oregon including Medicare and Medicaid. We bill your insurance directly. We also offer free insurance benefits checks prior to your first appointment. If you will be using motor vehicle insurance, a workers compensation claim, or Medicare then yes you will indeed need a referral.

I started going to root and branch physical therapy after years of trying different therapies to manage my back pain and sciatica. They were able to work with me and teach me simple exercises I could do at work and at home to help manage and correct some of the issues I was having. The best part of it all is now having multiple tools to help manage my symptoms! After four years of not being able to go more than one day without experiencing pain, it feels amazing that it seems like a distant memory. Thanks root & branch!

I've been working with Alex + Gina over the past year to help me recover from a shoulder injury. Within 3 months, my shoulder pain was almost gone - and I have felt stronger and more aligned than ever. I love that they are a collaborative team, and really enjoy my in-person workouts with Gina. She keeps me accountable, assists with my form, and really cares about my well being. I highly recommend Root & Branch Physical Therapy.

I was in 2 car accidents in high school. Nothing fatal, but I saw a family physical therapist that spent 15 minutes each session helping me stretch and perform machine exercises, then ice for another 15. I thought this was what PT was all about. Then in January this year, I got into a fender bender and suffered from neck and shoulder stiffness. That's when I sought Dr. Alex. He's an incredible person who's friendly, patient, and knowledgeable when it comes to getting your body to a state where it functions better than before. His specialty is postural restoration exercises, all of which are unorthodox

This is the best physical therapy experience I've ever had. Dr. Alex approaches the body as a complete system, linking all the aches and pains you have and targeting the source of them so you can heal for good. He was very thorough, answered all my questions and is clear about treatment plans. I've dealt with chronic jaw, neck and back pain most of my life and this is the first time I've felt that it's actually being corrected not just temporarily relieved. I can't recommend Dr. Alex and the team at Root and Branch enough!!

Alex is an enthusiastic, passionate, skilled specialist who thoroughly understands the body's bio-mechanics and communicates that knowledge well. He.quickly understood my problem and came up with specific exercises to treat it. I experienced relief and, for the first time in months, felt hopeful about recovering full function. Alex provides clear instructions about how to do exercises in a supportive, patient and kind manner. I'm grateful to under his care.
