I am not a needles person and had never done acupuncture before going to see Eva for carpal tunnel syndrome during Pregnancy. She was so calming and made the whole experience really wonderful and relaxing despite my anxiety around needles. She is supportive and knowledgable of how to support someone who is pregnant and knew exactly how to work on my 3rd trimester aches, pains, and needs.

Eva's an amazing acupuncturist! If I could give her 10 stars I would. She has an intuitive gift for healing and has a very warm and welcoming presence. Eva is amazing! I decided to try accupuncture for general well-being and I have gone to her a few times off and on throughout the years. It was mainly for stress/relaxation or a minor pain. A few months ago, i really hurt my arm/shoulder working out. Eva was so patient and determined to help me. I went twice a week for a few weeks-- I tried a combination of accupuncture and cupping. Full disclosure: Eva is a friend. Buuuuut she was my first acupuncturist when I was TERRIFIED of needles and has such a calm, gentle demeanor that she's been able to ease me over to a place where I now love acupuncture. I've seen Eva since she had her other business Honeybee but in 2008 and I LOVE that she has a downtown location now just two blocks from my office! Acupuncture Hive is an amazing clinic and recently opened a downtown location in the FiDi. I am still recovering from some bad advice to soak my foot in epsom salt. My foot was not bothering me at all but Eva did not like the way it looked. I wish I had checked with my doctor instead of following her advice. Epsom salt is not an inert substance and I absorbed too much into my system which made me sick. She went out of her way to diagnose a problem I was not having. First, do no harm. Also, Eva punctured a capillary in my arm, leaving a deep purple bruise that took months to resolve. I can't recommend her although it seems others have had a better experience with her.

This place is my saving grace. My daughter has major sleep issues and western medicine can only approach it with meds but after a couple of sessions, her sleep is more or less back to normal. As for me, I been dealing with sprained shoulder for months but I've gained a lot of flexibility back after a couple of sessions as well. Like most reviewers say, Eva has great bedside manners and knowledge, the space is inviting and calming, and can't beat the value for her services. We are so lucky to have her.

I have gone to several acupuncturist in my lifetime and this doctor is by far one of the best. She has laser point accuracy--targeting inflamed areas that just begs for a needle. She also does cupping and sometimes applies ointment after the treatment. Her clinic is open space, clean, quiet, and relaxing.
Bonus points for her running the entire clinic by herself. It's quite amazing what she does actually and I recommend others to give this place a try!

Eva is such a kind and gentle soul and I am thoroughly enjoying my weekly acupuncture treatments at Acupuncture Hive!
It is a serene atmosphere with relaxed lighting and music, it is a community clinic but I find it easy to relax with only 1-2 other clients there at the same time. The sliding scale pricing is so convenient and easy on the wallet.

I discovered the benefits of acupuncture after having my second child. I love the relaxation and stress relief TCM provides (as well as improved sleep and digestion), however, regular treatments can get a bit pricey. So when I discovered the concept of community acupuncture, I was hooked.
I've been to Acupuncture Hive twice so far and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Eva has a great bedside manner and nearly painless needling technique. I've been a client of Eva's for well over seven years now. An admitted skeptic of the concept of being poked with needles, I didn't quite buy into the benefits of acupuncture. One meeting with Eva changed that quickly.
