People often ask why we started Growing Kids - That's easy, we had kids! Once we became parents, our outlook on just about everything changed (as we assume it does for all parents). When we first became parents, we spent a lot of time with other new parents. As we were talking, the topic of child care would come up (a lot!).
Growing Kids will help your child grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially with the safety and convenience you and your child deserve. The teachers are absolutely amazing. Andrew gets so excited everyday when he sees his teacher and I know he is loved and cared for by everyone here.

The children are wonderful to work with and are open to all sorts of ideas. The issue is that most of the staff barely has a high school education and are all playing petty she said she said games. You can walk down the halls and find misspellings on bulletin boards, grammatical errors on newsletters and postings around the center. Beware bringing your children as most teachers (even with cameras) will turn their back to children or stick their heads out the door to talk to other teachers for 10-15 minutes at a time. Also the word curriculum should be used lightly, they barely have lesson plans

Had two instances of my daughter claiming a provider hit her and handled her roughly. Each time we reported, the cameras they pitch as a selling point were mysteriously down...hmm. Our daughter only made these claims about a particular provider, further solidifying her honesty. The center worked with us, but we no longer felt safe leaving our daughter there. She was beat up by boys on multiple occasions, and explicitly described a male child sexually assaulting girls in class. Providers handling children roughly was the straw that broke the camels back for us. Not to mention the horror stories

My kids love their teachers, they are awesome and friendly but unfortunately I have to take them to another day care because of the discrimination........ The director, Portia is treating her client differently (Parent who is paying out of their pocket vs parents using assistance). My experience have ranged from disappointing,to humiliating and degrading :(
