I ended up not going to the gym for a year and when I returned I still had the knee pain, I was worried at that point that I had permanently injured my knee.

After about two days of protesting, when I was too weak to argue any longer, I was brought in to Denise for help. I didn't believe she could help. When I laid down, my temperature was 102.5.

I have been a patient of Denise for many years. She is very effective in getting results for healing the whole body in every session. She listens and makes sure that the mind and soul will find balance. Her knowledge of Chinese medicine and how applies it is beyond words. I had my first session with Denise today, with the goal of helping my body prepare for labor. It was also my first experience with acupuncture.
Denise was so welcoming and relaxing. She told me everything she was going to do before she did it (as well as why she was doing it) so that I was never caught off guard. She set me up as comfortably as possible and when it was over she sent me home with specific things that I can do to continue the labor preparation.
I really liked her as a person as well as a doctor. I highly recommend her and am looking forward to my next appointment.

In the last 6 years I have tried a few acupuncturists in San Francisco and while I have no complaints, none of the others brought the depth of passion, insight and knowledge that Denise brings to every session. Whatever the ailment, I feel confident I will get relief when I bring myself to Denise.

Thanks so much to Denise for relieving my intense nasal congestion and tight chest this week. I had the killer cold that was going around this month and she really took care of me. She also gave me some amazing Chinese herbal nasal spray that works unbelievably well. I am often skeptical about how well herbs are going to work for me but these blew my mind. Or the snot right out of my nose, even better!
She also did some gua sha on my back - a Chinese medicine rubbing technique that is great for relieving congestion and getting stuck mucus flowing. Yahoo!

Denise is a life saver! She has definitely changed my health! I used to get sick a lot that would turn to sinus infections. Ever since I have been using her herbs she prescribed my nasal issues. I also go to her for balancing hormones and I definitely see a difference. My body is feeling a lot better. I never thought alternative medicine would work but yes it does! I will be the first to say that I am not a fan of needles... however, Denise is so professional and inviting that I let down my guard and booked an appointment and boy and I glad I did. I have been suffering from a constant throat problem, I have lost my voice 3 times in the past 5 weeks give or take. I came in to get an immune boost and to see what Acupuncture could do for me. After my first session, my voice was not raspy and I felt less pressure in my chest.

I saw many specialists that told me what it wasn't - sinus issues, tumor, other growths. I did find that certain migraine meds would help, but I had to take them far more than was recommended. On my wife's suggestion, I scheduled a few appointments with Denise.

Acupuncture with Denise has improved my pain significantly. I suffered a bad fall last summer that resulted in a bulged disc. I endured the most pain I've ever felt in my life over the course of 6 months. I was at my final breaking point when I went to Denise in March.
After the first visit, my pain was reduced hugely and went from being an 'all over' pain to a focused pain in one area. (That may not seem like a huge improvement, but it really was. Denise has been a lifesaver for me. I went there because of arthritis in my hip (among many bone/joint ailments). After several sessions of PT, my PT said the pain should be gone and could be residual. He said many patients had gotten good results with acupuncture.
I was referred to Denise and within a few sessions she had gotten me to where I was pain free in my hip, except for a few flair ups here and there. She's also treated me for other little issues - and no matter what she's treating, the improvement is immediate.
I go on a regular basis and I feel like it's reversed

I overestimated my flex spending account this year, so instead of stockpiling Tylenol and Gas-X in my basement, I decided to try out acupuncture.
I chose Denise because she was in the neighborhood and had excellent Yelp reviews and I do not regret it. I came in initially because I am allergic to every flowering, pollinating plant on earth and heard acupuncture can be helpful for allergies.

Going to Denise has been my first experience with acupuncture. She has a gentle touch and truly listens to whatever it is that is ailing you. She is easy to talk to and let me unload all my problems, of which there are many, and of which I will not go into. The acupuncture herbs she recommended I use have definitely helped me make progress. She is located 4 blocks from my house which seals the deal. I like that I can grab some completely insane Clement street food item afterwards.
Definitely suggest to see her if you're ailing from anything at all, worth a try!

I went to see Denise after I felt a sharp pain in my arm during a long motorcycle ride. When that happened, two of my fingers went numb in my hand. After a couple of weeks, sensation hadn't returned and felt it was getting worse.
When meeting Denise, it was my first time seeing an acupuncturist. I'm very traditional when it comes to medical care, so I was a little skeptic. But after the first session, I became a believer.
After 3 sessions, one of my fingers returned to normal with one of my fingers about 97% back to normal. Currently, I rarely notice anything wrong with that finger
