I can't say enough wonderful things about KC and the people who work there. I had never dealt with heating issues until our 35yo furnace conked out. Several places I called asked if I wanted repair at $XX/hour or quotes for a new system and I had no idea what to do.
But then I called Virginia at KC. She was so disturbed by the idea of my elderly dad shivering without a heater that she got Brooks out to the house the very next morning, free of charge, to take a look. I knew the furnace was likely dead, but he gamely investigated to see if we were overlooking a simple fix.

When it comes to having issues or needing repairs to a heating system nobody likes to go search and try to figure out who's good and who is fair. Leave it to Yelp to guide those in need (like "I need it now" need) and today was a 5 star experience with KC Home Services. I called early this morning and luckily there was a slot open & Brian arrived a bit ahead of schedule. He quickly figured out our heating layout, checked the system was running properly and made some damper adjustments to get the system running evenly. Our tankless hot water heater stopped working (installed by a different company) and we were out of hot water! A few places that we called wouldn't come and look at the problem earlier than a week out.
KC Home services sent over Don Pan the next day to diagnose the problem and suggest a path forward. The whole service was streamlined. Don took pictures, called up Navien, identified what needed to be replaced and drew up a contract to repair on the spot on his iPAD. The cost was provided up front with different options to choose from. He even made sure our warranty was set up appropriately

KC Home Services Installed new furnace. Bryan came out to inspect the work on the new furnace. He had to climb up into the attic as well as go on top of the roof in the rain to check on the work that was done. He showed up in the time frame that was promised, was fast, courteous, professional, and friendly. Great sense of humor and seems to really like the work he does. Everyone in the office is extremely helpful as well and is very conscientious of my work schedule.

From the second I called KC Home Service, I knew I picked the best. Virginia was very helpful in setting up an appointment for an air conditioner unit misbehaving.
Their technician Brooks was awesome. Absolutely on time in Windsor. He inspected the unit and diagnosed the issues. He completed the work in a timely fashion and it now works better than before. They had to replace a number of parts including the capacitor, contactor (a rat had its way with that and some wiring), and did an overall safety check.

I called KC Home Services at around 7 pm on Friday night because my kitchen sink was leaking. Virginia answered the phone and was very helpful and friendly. She apologized for not being able to send someone out because they were booked for the weekend but she vowed she would get me help. Virginia texted me two referrals. I called one of her referrals and they were able to help me and were friendly and professional. We brought K C Home services in to fix some problems we had due to a bad initial job from another company. It took them a while to work out the issues due to some deliberately hidden gaps in vents done by an unscrupulous installer who didn't want to deal with an awkward junction. They were super diligent checking every inch of the system until they found the problem and we now finally have a system that is working quite well.
Unfortunately shortly after they resolved our first problem our water heater blew and we needed their services again. I called them mid day and they had it replaced

I woke up early one Monday morning and it was cold in the house. i turned up heater and it would not light. I called Virginia at KC Home Services. told her my problem and within 2 hours the service technician was at my house (Brooks was his name) . he had my heater running in less then a half hour. you just cant get that kind of service these days!!! Just as the first autumn cold snap hit, THAT’S when the heating failed to respond. When we set the thermostat to call for heat, we could hear the furnace start warming up. A couple of minutes later the blower came on … and then it all shut down. We tried several times, but no luck.
Unfortunately, we had very little experience with heating/air conditioning firms, but after talking with a knowledgeable friend, we got a strong recommendation — call Brooks Robertson at KC Home Services.
Brooks came by the next morning, opened the furnace up … and found a 20+ year old system riddled with corrosion
