Elder Law is a rather recently recognized legal specialty that is dedicated to the unique legal needs of America's aging citizens. The general goal of the practice of Elder law is to preserve the older person's control of his or her own life circumstances. For many aging Americans, the worst-case scenario is losing everything and ending up in poverty as a result of continuously rising health care costs.

It is incredibly important to people and their wellbeing to retain as much day-to-day control of their life and assets as possible and that is where an elder law attorney comes in.

There were multiple needs and I was frustrated, but they had the right course of action and all is well now. Congress provides a little-known TAX-FREE Special Monthly Pension for Veterans and their Surviving Spouses to help pay for the costs of long-term care commonly known as VA Pension with Aid and Attendance. This benefit is available to Veterans who served during wartime. However, certain medical, income, and net worth criteria must be met first.
While the term guardianship often refers to an adult taking over the care of a minor, there are also certain circumstances that can arise where an adult becomes incapacitated and can no longer meet their own needs. In such a case, a guardian can be appointed to assist with the incapacitated adult's physical, mental, and financial needs.

Estate Planning is a blueprint and legal structure for the accumulation, protection and distribution of assets during one's life and upon death. Various legal structures can be used such as trusts, wills, joint accounts, beneficiary designations, power of attorney designations, deeds, etc.

A comprehensive estate plan should always include a review of the titles to property and beneficiary designations for all assets to ensure your estate planning objectives; otherwise, unintended consequences may ensue. Many times estate plans are designed but never fully implemented or properly funded.

Kimbro and the team are seriously amazing. I went in not knowing what I needed and feeling overwhelmed to do our will and they took great care of me. I’ve been around several lawyers in my day and we all know the reputation, but these guys came off so humble, helpful and understanding. I’ll seriously never use another attorney again. Highly recommend.
