Green Higgs had worked in the funeral industry for over 25 years and decided to fulfill his dream of operating his own funeral home. Along with son Greg, and the entire Higgs family, he finally saw his dream come true. In 1995, Green bought the old Dr. Barwick house on Eastman Road that was built in 1882.
Pre-Planning a funeral in advance is something everyone should consider. Having to make decisions concerning your loved ones in a time of grief is very difficult. At Higgs Funeral Home, we will sit down with you and discuss all of the necessary arrangements needed prior to something happening in your family.
Death does not discriminate. It has not preference to age, race or economic status. At some point, the death of a loved one is something we all will go through. The important thing to remember is that grieving is part of life. The death of a loved one is not something to "get over" but something to "work through."
The Reverend Tim Lamb will officiate. Ms. Wall, 92, was the daughter of the late Willie & Georgia Emma Stanford Brantley. She was born in Treutlen County where she lived most of her life until moving to Dublin in 2001. She retired from Soperton Manufacturing/Woolrich Company after 42 years where she was an inspector.
