Someone once phrased our facility as an "emotional spa". What sets us apart from other outpatient mental health clinics? From the minute you step foot in our door, you are met with warm, friendly staff who are making you feel at home. People know you by name and not just your therapist. There is coffee, a variety of teas, water, and various healthy snacks to help you take care of your basic needs first and foremost.
Our waiting room has fresh flowers, bright big windows, and relaxing music played throughout the common spaces of the facility. There are sun lamps to turn on while you wait if you would like an additional "serotonin boost" of natural sunlight as well as a plethora of essential oils for aromatherapy to assist in relaxing you.

Services
We provide a variety of counseling options for individuals struggling with matters including anxiety, depression, abuse, grief, sex and gender identity, PTSD, life transitions, etc. We are now offering telehealth sessions by way of our Therapynotes Portal which is the patient portal that you will have access when you are a client of ours.
Kindness Blossoms is an ongoing volunteer-run gift to our community whereby local florists, food chains and/or private parties will donate flowers that they will no longer be needing to A Journey to You. Our volunteers will then rearrange them into numerous smaller arrangements and repurpose them to be delivered to our local long term care facilities for those who need some extra loving and cheer!
We are proud to offer you the following seasoned therapists with the experience and knowledge that you are looking for. It is important for us to stress that A Journey to You is committed to employing and offering you to choose from only quality clinicians that will provide you with everything you are looking for.
Our State College location was established in August of 2014 and has endured two expansions that currently give us a total of 9 therapy offices and two waiting areas. Therapists at this location offer services for all populations particularly college students as our State College office is only 1 mile from Penn State campus.

Twice now I've been scheduled for a telehealth appointment and they've failed to attend. I've only seen the therapist once. First time they were out sick. Second time they failed to post the appointment on their portal after changing it to telehealth.
I'd let it slide if they weren't charging a large fee whenever the client misses an appointment without giving 24 hours notice.

A journey to you is exceptional in every way shape and form. From the beautiful design of the building you feel comforted the instant you step foot in the door. The staff is so genuine and kind to your needs. Bethanne is absolutely amazing at what she does and really helps out with you concerns and worries. I wouldn’t choose any other place but this one to come to.

My therapist was wonderful, she helped me through a lot and during all of Covid-19. I was sad to leave, only because of the rapport I built with my therapist in over 1.5 years. However, the billing practices here are horrible. I was struggling to afford therapy already and in a rough place financially due to health complications. I had to cancel my appointment because money was too tight that week and they charged me almost twice as much as therapy because I called 23 hours before my appointment instead of 24 hours beforehand. Apparently they are strict to the exact minute. If someone had mentioned

I've been coming here on and off for 8 years. I've tried other practices in the past, but this one surpasses all my other experiences! The owner, Bethanne, cares deeply for her clients, and the staff is amazing! Especially after covid, having the telehealth option is so important. It's allowed me to have frequent appointments so I don't have to travel to town. I've grown in so many ways from the services at A Journey to You, and highly recommend Bethanne's team to anyone!

A certain therapist I had (won’t say her name but she knows who she is) is a scammer! She took advantage of me at my most vulnerable moments and gave up on me as a client and told me to stop showing up. The minute I stop showing up she charges me for the sessions she told me not to come to. When I told the front desk she lied and they took her side. Still getting charged to this day. Place is a scam.

Despite the other low star reviews, I decided to give this place the benefit of a doubt and give this a try anyway. I can say now that I agree with them and will not recommend them to anyone. Reception would not answer my calls on purpose after a few attempts (even picked up once and they hung up before I could talk). I tried letting them know to take me off their new patient list but no response. I never leave reviews let alone low ones, but I have now. I really was hoping to like this place.

Be careful with their billing. My insurance covers the cost but they tried to make me pay the full amount. Then when I called the insurance company, Journey to you never sent the bill and I also check online to see if the bill when the processed. The owner never call me back to straighten this problem out. So Journey to You sent my bill to collection. Oh yes not even days after they received the payment from the insurance company. I even called the collection agency and they stated in deed the company uses them for deploy tacked to get people to pay. When the person doesn't then the company
