The hotel was beautiful and the people are wonderful. The bed was sunken in the middle, there were noises from above us every night and made it very difficult to sleep. There was also rattling in our room somewhere that we could not figure out. The chromecast on our television did not work, even when tried from multiple devices. The bar staff was wonderful and so sweet but the mixed drinks were not great and the food was okay. Overall, I don’t think the price paid was truly what the stay was worth.

We had our Christmas party here, last December and they were amazing! Nycolas and Elsa were an amazing host. All the staff, bartenders and the catering coordinator made the affair a time to remember. It was a beautiful view with great food. I recommend dining with them for your special occasion.

When we walked in we were not greeted, neither of the two front desk looked up actually. They never said hello or welcomed us. It was all business and the woman spoke really quickly making me feel rushed to get out of there. Only stayed for one night but it was not peaceful nights sleep at all! Could hear everything going on outside and to top it off. There was this constant noise that ran the entire time. During the day it was nbd but kept me up at night. They charge $20 for the “luxury” of using WiFi (could get this literally anywhere for free) and because they provide water bottles (poor

Walked in, there was a DJ in the ridiculously cool lobby. Got to my room, received a text asking if we needed anything in out room.
The staff was helpful. The room was beautiful. I love how the history of the building was embraced in the design of the hotel.
Only drawback, the walls are thin. We had to call the front desk at 1 AM for a noise complaint. They took care of it quickly.

Easy to find, clean, and exactly as advertised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view. For being in such a busy area, it felt like a relaxing oasis. The bed was actually comfortable with plenty of pillows! My only complaint is the high prices in the restaurant; we chose to get food elsewhere instead. Thankfully there are lots of options nearby.

We had a top floor room with view of the city skyline! Great view and the roof top was worth the reservation for our engagement shoot. However the stench of sewage was all through out Dallas and in our room. So if they could get better filters to block the odor that would be great!

Super cute and hip hotel that is a short Uber ride to cool parts of town. I LOVED the hotel decor and if I were rating on that alone, definitely a 5 star hotel.

However, this place has so many shortcomings, it's hard to believe I paid anything over $100 to stay here.

The rooms were spacious and well decorated but you can hear every conversation and sound through the vents and they could use a SERIOUS deep clean. The lamps all had dust on them, nasty food stains in the fridge, the floors felt sticky and the bathroom was horrid. The wooden vanity had water damage and looks as if it's

This hotel is one of the most unique I have ever been in. It's an old restored building but it's very eclectic. Everything about it is inviting including the restaurant and even the baby grand piano which I assume is used from time to time. The rooms are ultra-modern with an eclectic style that looks like furniture that came out of homes of the Rich and famous. Their services beyond reproach and the price is not too bad either if you can afford $100 to $200 a night.
I didn't take pictures because there are so many great pictures on the way of all ready for this hotel, but it's only in downtown

My husband got us a corner room here for the weekend and he did good! Decor is gorgeous. Love the modern yet vintage vibes. Loved the loft style rooms also! What made this special was it didn’t feel like just another weekend in a hotel. The rooftop bar and pool was stunning with beautiful views of downtown. The staff was very kind and helpful and all seemed to be having fun while working! I will most definitely be staying here again!

Needs improvement

1. There are no curtains on the windows so if you are on a lower floor people can easily look in your room. Instead of curtains there are rolling blinds.
2. The walls are thin so you can hear your Nextdoor neighbors!!!!
3. No refrigerators
4. The roof top bar doesn't have a TV
5. Guess who are staying do not get a parking pass to put in the dash. As a result, people coming to the hotel to visit can take up all the good parks.

The good

1. The beds are comfortable
2. Hotel workers are super friendly
3. The location
4. The roof top area is very nice
5. Parking is

The Canvas Hotel staff and service were excellent. Before we even checked in Andi at the front desk answered all of my questions via text almost immediately. It's a pet friendly with only a $50 pet fee which much less expensive than other hotels that are half as nice. The rooftop pool views are incredible. As an amateur photographer I had a great time taking photos of the downtown Dallas skyline. Bartenders Courtney and Katelyn took great care of us and made excellent drinks. Rock who works in security made an excellent impression and did a great job making sure only authorized folks had access

Blown away! This boutique hotel is a surprise and total delight. The service from moment we walked up to the door till the time we checked out was exceptional. Every person was friendly, personable and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The decor is so fun and a little funky. The rooms remind me of a New York loft. The biggest surprise was the food. Flavorful and beautiful. Don't skip the rooftop bar, pool and fire pit and bring your camera for the amazing sunsets. Highly recommend .

It's a cute boutique hotel and they typically have great rates. The rooms are spacious and clean. I've never had a cleanliness concern staying at Canvas. I've had a lot of staycations here and I always enjoy myself. Keep in mind this is not a 5 star resort so keep your bourgeoisie expectations at a minimum.

The rooftop bar/ pool area is not that spacious. If you're going to Canvas during the day, just to enjoy the pool/bar area - I recommend getting there early to secure a good spot. The rooftop offers a nice view of the skyline. Good location to catch the sunset. After the

Will start with good, rooftop lounge is cool, great views. Cool lobby if you like eclectic and industrial look. The beds are comfy.

The not so good: The drinks are extremely expensive and Just ok. Very limited food at the lounge and the restaurant is only open certain days of week, so If you are hungry later, make sure you bring food to room. There is not much near by that is open as it is in the industrial part of town, would not walk there alone at night. The rooms are super minimalist, and done very cheaply, stuff is falling apart, not hung straight, etc. There was no remote and when one was

This hotel is simply awesome. Its location is super close to downtown area. The bar and restaurant on site is nice and really convenient. The look of the hotel is cool, very old building with a modern look inside while keeping the old look too. Room was spacious and clean. Only issue with the room I have is the large water/drain pipes that were going through my room. Hearing rushing water through pipes at times was distracting and not very peaceful but all the other amenities made up for it. Now for the best feature....the pool. Rooftop pool with an amazing view of downtown skyline. Could not asked

Paid $60 for two tickets just so we can be at their pool deck area while 4 DJ's played taking turns. I felt ripped off since the promotion for this party was next to nothing. I really thought there would be a few more people than there was. There was only 3 other guests swimming. No host. No waiters. Just a bar serving stuff in plastic super used cups. They had no white wine. We had to go downstairs to order food. They did not accept food orders in the gallery bar after they said they would over the phone. The food took a long time but it was good and has nothing to do with the bar/pool area

We found the Canvas on Expedia and the main thing that drew us here was the rooftop pool. Nice hotel. Room was great. Nice high ceilings. Exposed brick was pretty cool. This is a newer hotel. Great service. Good price. Nice view from the room. Limited parking though. We took the kids to the rooftop to check out the pool and there was no room at all in the pool. This was on a weekday during the day. Lots of drinking and the smell of weed was in the air up there. We left and headed back to room. Kids were disappointed. Probably won't come back since the pool wasn't family friendly but room

Not really what we expected when arriving for our weekend staycation...
The building was already a let down before going in. Place looks like it hasn't been fixed in a while. Was looking forward to the pool area but it was so small and too packed and people were pouring alcohol in the pool during early day. Never again
Also this place doesn't seem family friendly definitely not the pool area only saw older couples. Resembles a motel more. Very tacky

We had a great time celebrating the surprise engagement of our friends. The view is stunning on the rooftop bar. We didn't use the pool but ordered drinks and food from the bar. Both were great but I have to give a shoutout to Jordan for being a great bartender and giving us great service! The decor on the inside of the hotel is beautiful.

Looking for an hotel with great customer service, artistic rooms and a great skyline? Look no further than the Canvas Hotel. I loved the infinity pool, rooftop patio to enjoy food, drinks and a marvelous skyline. My friends adored every minute spent there. The manager, Ethan, was grand in assisting me with any special requests or problems that needed to be resolved. I will definitely stay here again and bring my friends to enjoy the rooftop on weekends when downtown. Great for entertaining clients, first dates and business meetings or just to relax and get away. Highly recommend!!! Enjoy.

Disclaimer: This review is strictly about the food service we received on the rooftop.

An org I'm a part of organized a meet up here on the rooftop. When I've come to Canvas I normally don't get food, just come for the ambience and drinks. After this experience it may stay that way.

My friend and I ordered a shrimp flatbread (tasted meh) and the tuna wonton dish. I'm not sure what other areas of the hotel the kitchen services but the rooftop was not busy and somehow it still took over 30 minutes to get our food. My friend was given the wrong order and ended up just canceling

What a cute but low-key rooftop w/ a nice happy hour! Went here last Tuesday for a happy hour with the girls. Parking was a breeze, even w/ this being an actual hotel. Upon entering you have a lobby, then further up is the elevator. Even for my first time, it was quite easy to find. Once I got upstairs, I was shocked at the size, as in my mind I had imagined it to be bigger. That said, the bar was fairly empty so we started there. The customer service started off phenomenal, didn't know what to order, told her I liked tequila and she made something sweet but tasty. Score! Eventually more people
