East Pines Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Boonville, IN. The professional and courteous staff at East Pines Animal Clinic seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for their highly-valued patients. The clinic was first opened in 1975 by Dr. Benjamin Mauck and Dr. Jeff Mauck.

At that time, they treated both large and small animals. They practiced together until 1988, when Dr. Ben retired. In 1998, Dr. Traci Scamahorn joined East Pines. We remodeled in 2000-2001, adding on to the clinic. Since 2002, we only practice small animal medicine and surgery. In 2008, Dr. Sara Burns, a boarded surgeon and Dr. Mauck's daughter, came back to Boonville and joined East Pines also.
Services
East Pines Animal Clinic is proud to serve the tri-state area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by an experienced and knowledgeable staff, who are here to help you with all your needs. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
We offer a wide variety of surgical and diagnostic services. Our surgical procedures range from elective spays and neuters to advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. We offer in house diagnostic procedures including blood work, urinalysis, digital radiography, ultrasonography, myelograms, and CSF taps.
At East Pines Animal Clinic we strive to provide quality medical and surgical care for your pet(s) by hiring well-trained competent team members, providing continuing education for advancements in the veterinary profession, and purchasing necessary equipment and medications. Providing this high standard of veterinary care requires a significant financial investment.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, the doctors will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to East Pines Animal Clinic for service. Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic.
We are currently staffed with three doctors that see patients on a referral basis. Dr. Mauck has decades of experience in small animal surgery. These surgeries ranged from spays and neuters, to complicated orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Dr. Burns is our Board Certified Small Animal Surgeon (DACVS-SA), and Dr. Brash is our Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist (DACVO).

Not very friendly at all to me ,get your money and see you later type business on too the next watch out for hidden cost here on pet food and supplies look at at your invoice carefully , and not enough help , especially in the opening hours it's pretty bad when the vet has to go up to the front and help customers herself this is my personal impression i got here, and i'm taking my business down the road i did not even feel welcome there at all ! although my cat is better now it's just by chance

Paisley, our toy Aussiedoodle, had a partial tarsel arthrodesis, and in 3 months was running again! (She received a pin and 2 wires) Worth every penny and 3 hour trip. Thank you Dr. Burns and the whole staff! There are no words to describe how much it means to see her so happy again. Top notch Clinic. I'd give them 10 stars if I could 👍

I brought my dog, Otto, in for TPLO surgery about a month ago. I can’t say enough good things about East Pines and results of Ottos surgery. He is so much better off in this short time already. The staff and facility is top notch. Thank you to everyone at East Pines!

East Pines has went above and beyond for our sweet Copper. He was hit by a car and they had us in a prepared room within seconds of arriving. Dr. Tara has been seeing him 2-3 times a week and is always positive and reassuring. His healing is coming along great so far! The techs and front desk staff have always been kind and welcoming to us as well. I always have a million questions and they never act bothered even though I probably annoy them 😛
Thank you all for saving our boy 💗💗💗
