All of our home inspectors are members of ASHI, the American Society of Home Inspectors. As such, we abide by the ASHI Code of Ethics, as well as the ASHI Standards of Practice, which sets the minimum requirements for a home inspection. We can use an infrared camera that MAY detect things on your property not revealed by conventional inspection methods. We were debating between getting a normal inspection or something extra like At Home Inspections and I am very glad we decided to spend the extra money. At Home Inspections personnel are very thorough, offer a plethora of inspections, are friendly, do not mind answering questions on site, and will spend extra time on a house that has strange features like the one we a thinking about purchasing. With the extra price comes more care, more professionalism, extra testing like sewer access inspection which found a large blockade.

I was a little frustrated. I told the person I scheduled with about my brain injury and that I needed someone to help me go through the report. She indicated she would have the inspector (Tristan) call me on his way home (about an hour) to walk through the inspection and what was found. I then paid a termite inspection a quarter of the price of the home inspection and the termite inspector found leaks in the garage, mold/fungus under both bathroom sinks. They also discovered a lot more dry rot then Tristan the home inspector. I was disappointed as I expected the home inspection company would have

My real estate agent made arrangements with this company. I'm from SC Los Angeles and new to the city of Bakersfield. They responded quick. In less than 48 business hours the inspection was done. I was present at the time of the inspection. The two inspectors were very friendly. They answered basic questions that I had. They were very professional. Tristan and Kohl provided a thorough inspection. At the end they presented me with all their findings and let me ask questions and get all the clarification I needed. Tristan was very polite, professional and a bright spot in this process of buying a home. While things were added on as extra, I felt comfortable knowing the thorough job he and his team did. They were welcoming and didn't make me feel like I was bothering them with questions. They showed me everything on tablet with notes and all the issues were clear to me as the work that has to be done. They were available on short notice. I am very experienced in the building trades and have a keen eye for spotting issues, Tristan exceeded my expectations and was meticulous. The house was in great shape, but he took his time and managed to find a number of items that most inspectors would have overlooked. I would trust them to uncover any issues that would be a concern.

Update: after filing a dispute with our bank card company, allowing at home inspections to respond within a 60 day period with anything refuting our claims of their impropriety (they chose not to respond), we received a full refund. Unfortunately, the company decided to go a different avenue and instead of refuting the claim sent our account to collections without proper notification. We were notified by a debt collector. Obviously we have all documents backing our claim, as well as the lack of collection on their part to validate sending it to an outside agency. This company is a scam and instead

Jamie drove from Bakersfield to Ventura County in order to conduct an inspection of the home my wife and I just entered into contract to purchase. He was very thorough, and analyzed every nook and cranny of the property in question. He even suited up into some garb that was similar to the scene in Pixar's Monster Inc. when they had a "2319" and he crawled under the home performing a holistic review of the underbelly of our new home. We hired At Home Inspections to perform an inspection of a new property my wife and I just purchased. They gave us a 3 hour window of when the inspection should start and finish. They finished the home before said time limit, and then handed us an HTML report of the inspection. It gave us very detailed information of what they documented along with pictures as well.
Luckily, our home is not very old and has been very well kept so there was not much for them to have to document. But, with all that they have done, my wife and I have peace of mind that our home is in tip-top shape.
