Truly shocked they have such a big waitlist with the way they treat people on the phone. I’ve attempted to get information twice, my first call I was asked my children’s ages and when I responded she laughed and said “good luck.” I thought maybe it was just someone having a bad day and tried again, the next time I was informed the waitlist was so long I couldn’t even tour the facility for months. I was offered no further information and easily dismissed. Will continue our childcare search as these are certainly not the best impressions.

Last year, my 3yr old son was going there after I started working. It was really hard for both of us as that was the first day care. But teachers really helped us and took good care of him. He still remembers her and when we were leaving his teacher gave a beautiful memory of all kids by creating a poster. He learned so much and everything is good about this day care. Giving 4 start bcz they said no space for part time but there was vacancy for full time that was kind of strange

I legit got it trouble for simply trying to converse w/ the "teacher". The punishment - standing up and sitting back down over and over. For at least an hour at a time. This was every time I talked to her, had a question, wanted to use the facilities, or got upset. Other than that, the food is low quality, and I got in trouble for bringing a quarter to class. She made me cry all the time.

So building blocks south was great until we had to move to the west location on Chatham rd. The classroom teacher is incompetent. I have asked several times that my sons hat and coat are put on him before he goes to ELC in the afternoon being that they play outside & he’s had several ear infections. They still seem to not be able to put his hat on everyday when it’s right there in the room in his bag. The owner Deb tells me that it’s the 3 year olds responsibility to get their things on before the bus. Really?!... Also how the teacher needs reminders each morning to put it on him. It seems

My son started here when I returned to work the end of May. With the exception of one issue, my son has had wonderful care! All of the ladies that care for him daily are so caring and definitely enjoy taking care of these kids. We will miss them all as he will be going to daycare closer to my work now. Thank you Building Blocks Daycare for taking great care of my son.

First I’d like to say, if I could rate this place zero stars I would. My daughter has been going to building blocks east since she was a baby. Everything was great until they sent a letter saying they had been operating at 50% capacity at both locations so they would be consolidating and sending all of the kids so the West location on Chatham. The trouble started when they told me my daughter would have thee same teachers and kids in her class as she did at the old location, that didn’t happen. Then, I told them my daughter would only be coming 2 days a week because I am a nurse and would be

I would not recommend sending your child here. Teachers are unfriendly to parents and the kids. Can tell they don't really enjoy what they're doing or the job that they are in. My son did not adjust well here and I fully think it was due to the teachers lack of effort or enthusiasm in ANYTHING. It's just a job to them. A job they don't even like. Front desk staff was always friendly. Nice facility. Feel the teachers lack competence though.

Wow! Has it been 5 years already? It seems like only yesterday we were bringing our sons blankets, sheets and bibs to Building Blocks to set up for his first day. He was six weeks old then and now he's getting ready to start Kindergarten.
It will be strange driving by this building and not turning into the parking lot to drop him off. It has been routine for so ling that I am sure you will see me absentmindedly driving through here until I realize - Oh, I don't have a little one to drop off anymore.
We wanted to thank each and every one of your who have either directly or indirectly been involved

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking such good care of my baby girl. It is very comforting to a working mother to know that her child is being taken care of and having fun. I am so grateful you have such great caregivers that enjoy their jobs.
Thank you for having fun and teaching my baby girl and making a mommy feel good about leaving her baby.

In my opinion it should be closed down. This is a very poor school for anyone's child. They are very rude and money conscious. They hardly have anything encouraging to say about children. My son was there for a yr and by the end of the year he had regressed so much that even though he was potty trained he kept on having accidents. Do not be fooled. Teachers have their favorites and once parents are gone they hardly teach the kids anything. The do not transition kids to new classes well and force the children to do what they want without consideration for the child's feelings.
