Founded in 1957 by Gladys Silveira, Silveira's is the oldest family run private preschool in Newport County. We have a proud tradition of offering our students a high quality Early Childhood Education in a clean and enriching learning environment in our large open classrooms, a gymnasium, a large fenced playground and over 20 acres of open land.
At Silveira Kindergarten & Preschool we understand the needs of Military Families and strive to make easy transitions during arrival and/or departure. We ensure that individual educational needs are not interrupted and offer flexibility and understanding at pack out time and during a deployment. We recognize the hardships and sacrifices families and children make and support them in every way possible.
A variety of opportunities are available to parents and family members for direct involvement in your child's school experience both inside and outside of school. We encourage you to participate and get involved. Fundraisers, birthday and holiday celebrations and assisting with classroom activities are just a few of the ways families can be involved.
