Hungate Engineering, P.C. has the capacity to design and analyze various structural systems. From buildings to bridges to retaining walls, our staff of engineers and designers will produce a set of structural design drawings to meet your requirements.
We have experience in designing coal preparation plants, conventional building systems, conveyor systems, reclaim tunnels, stacking tubes, bridges, reinforced concrete box culverts, foundation systems, retaining walls, heavy lifting elements (spreader beams), curtain walls, shoring systems, reinforced concrete tanks, storage bins, and chutes.

Using the latest in structural software and methodology, we strive to engineer the most economically designed structure. We are currently utilizing various steel, concrete, wood and aluminum design software. Examples of this software include RAM Structural System, STAAD, ENERCALC and Digital Canal as well as several bridge and retaining wall programs.
Hungate Engineering, P.C. has the capacity to design various types of foundation systems, from shallow to deep foundations. Generally, a sub-surface investigation is performed by a soils engineering company; and, recommendations are made by a geotechnical engineer. We use these recommendations to design the foundation system, whether it be spread footings, H-piles, auger cast piles or caissons.
We have designed belt conveyors with widths ranging from 24 inches up to 84 inches and capacities varying from conveying 30 TPH (for wood chips) all the way up to 6000 TPH (for coal). We have experience designing slope conveyors (for the coal industry), transfer conveyors, stacker conveyors, trippers, reclaim feeders and conveyors, and radial stackers.
Hungate Engineering, P. C. can conduct an Environmental Assessment of your site to identify areas of known or potential environmental contaminates.
This assessment may include the review of land records, the review of the State landfill/solid waste disposal list and other State and/or Federal database records, past assessments, interviews with people familiar with the site, photographs to record observations at the time of inspection and the potential impact of neighboring properties.
