Printing at any shop can be intimidating. That's why we've created a series of guidelines for printing here, as well as a collection of regularly updating resources, like tutorials, time saving tricks and shortcuts. Our templates are only recommended for design professionals, or those who are very comfortable with graphic design software from Adobe. If you're unsure how to proceed we have skilled designers in-house who can set up your job for you. To begin your project, click to download the template for your desired application.
How long will my job take to complete? Completion depends on current work load and the complexity of your project. Whereas posters or flyers can be done in a day or two, jobs with extensive set-up or bindery such as greeting cards will take longer. Proofing takes time as well. If there is a deadline, we will work with that timeframe.
We've put together some tutorials and shortcuts to help if you're creating your own files for upload. Navigate to Fill and choose your desired color. For colors other than those listed, enter the corresponding six digit HTML color code (Example format: 0x123456). Click Done in the bottom right corner when you are finished.
This tutorial will walk you through a basic white ink design. For more complex projects, or projects done in Photoshop, it may be best to come by the shop with your design questions. Note: Due to the frequent complexity of white ink design, we strongly recommend a hardcopy press proof for designers utilizing white ink.

I've had Bug Press handle my printing needs since about 1987, and have been using their services about twice a month for the past decade. They are the best printer around, with top-notch quality, knowledgeable staff, and great customer service. The cost is very reasonable for the quality, and they especially love supporting local artists. They show utmost integrity in their dealings with customers and are willing to take on some complicated special jobs. And how great that they are a small, locally owned and operated business! They have my highest recommendation.

We love Bug Press! How fortunate we are to have this gem in our little town of Arcata, CA. Bug Press has done several projects with us. They help us create unique, high quality items for our distillery tasting room. One project was these "playing cards" with recipes designed with the help of a local artist. We are often asked where did you get these?? Highly recommend.

This place really needs to either ramp up their customer service or just chose to be the local artsy printer that does not do big bulk orders. They do not really do delivery. It feels as if you are putting them out to request it. In fact all communication with this business leaves you wondering if they need or want your business at all. I personally prefer to support local businesses whenever possible. And I rarely write poor reviews. But with minor adjustments to their attitude and customer service approach, they really could do so much better.
I give 2 stars. One
