Master Carpenter trained under Master Bogdanos and Master Panagakos for over 20 years, earning his 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a Black Belt in HapKido under Grandmaster Park. He is also a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ross Kellin and Mike Geery. As an active martial arts competitor, he has competed in kickboxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu and MMA, and is an active competitor in BJJ.
He is a nationally ranked grappler, earning 1st Place in the Pan American Championship NAGA Expert Division in 2013 & 2017. Your child will learn self-confidence, self-respect, discipline, anti-bullying, and martial arts in a safe, affordable, fun environment! Private Lessons, Omega MMA open mat, tournaments & competitions may be scheduled on Saturdays.

We have been with J Park Clearwater since Summer of 2021 and everything have been exceptional. Master Tommy and Master Gladys are incredible in their instruction and leadership abilities. I appreciate that there is no age placed on when the child should progress to the next level. Everyone has to show discipline and respect to move forward and EARN the next belt. It has been extremely motivating for my sons. From the top down to the coaching staff everyone is extremely professional. I couldn’t be happier with the choice we made to enroll them here. Two of my kids trained here for more than a decade. I loved having great role models for my kids to train with and look up to. The time and attention they give the kids is incredible, and it shows in the results. I've watched my own and countless other kids grow and development from their time training in the after school karate program. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a safe, affordable, quality program for kids. As a parent, it gave me great peace of mind knowing my kids were in good hands.

This place has been absolutely amazing for my son who has aspergers and sensory processing disorder. He has really found his confidence in himself, and has made a major attitude advancement. He loves going and gets so much energy out, which has been a massive help for us. The staff and instructors are incredibly patient and all the students are well mannered. We both love this place quite a bit and we will be continuing to go for a long time!

This establishment is simply amazing both as a structured and personal experience. The instructors are amazing, clearly communicate and as far as working with children an absolute dream from a parents eyes. Personally I have known Master Tommy for the better part of a decade and admire him dearly, I have trained with him in the past and his way of teaching is very one on one and personal, he answers any and all questions and teaches all techniques with clear demonstration and communication.
More recently my 12yr old daughter has started training both in Jiu Jitsu with Master Tommy and in Taekwondo

Amazing! My daughter has been there for a year and she loves it. She had been at another Taekwondo for 4 years and was never treated as amazingly as J Park treats and trains her. She wishes we had found J Park sooner. We wish we had found J Park sooner. The staff is positive in nature but respectful. It feels like a family. They truly love what they do and their students! They offer camps, after school and evening classes.

My son loves J Park and I love it for him! He has grown so much in so many ways since he has been there. Watching his progression in martial arts has been such a joy. I am so proud. He enjoys the friendships and competitions with his peers. The coaches are phenomenal and genuinely care for the students. We are so happy to have been referred here.

I enrolled my oldest son at J. Park in 2008. At that time, I was looking for a safe after-school environment that could pick him up from school and teach him martial arts. I found it was so much more than that. The instructors have always been absolutely wonderful. There is an emphasis on character development that is incredibly valuable to their students. Students learn martial arts, but more importantly, they learn how to push themselves to be their best, to persevere through frustration. They learn to respect each other, and themselves. My children will never attend a different after care, because

J Park is the absolute best Tae Kwon Do school bar none. You and your children will learn so much more than self-defense--you will learn about life and how to control the way you react to situations in life you will no doubt be faced with. The instructors stress the importance of each student having gratitude and respect for their parents. They will learn how to deal with bullies and how to defend themselves. With Master Tommy, Instructor Huy, and all of the staff there, you are in good hands. Your children will blossom into stronger, more confident young adults if they put in the work it takes

Master Tommy and the instructors here are awesome! They are very passionate about Martial Arts and are a pleasure to train with. The school speaks for itself with their many championships titles and belts won. And the KIDS program ROCKS as my kids do compete now! As far as the negative comment on here..Martial Arts is about commitment just as a quality gym like LA Fitness has you make a commitment. Thanks to my commitment my kids and I were able to compete in many tournaments with the team and go for the gold!

The management of J Park World Tae Kwon Do needs to reflect on their customer service approach. My wife signed her son up for classes in 2010. After signing an annual contract and paying $618 for 6 months in advance, which I have never done for any of my other children for any activity, my wife was so disappointed in how the classes were structured, the lack of discipline, that after 3 classes she stopped bringing her son. She never requested a refund, nor did she complain about the funds she had paid. The school has sent her 6 month balance to a collection agency, Affiliated Acceptance Corporation
