Lake Pizza & Restaurant was established in 1977; two Greek immigrants with a vision, George Sgouritsas and Gus Antifantis, opened the first location on 39 Thompson Road in the first floor of a two family house. The menu of Classic Italian favorites expanded until more room was needed. That's when the two partners and their wives started the construction of the current building in the mid 1980's.
30 pieces of fresh boneless chicken smothered with Frank's traditional hot sauce with a side of blue cheese dressing. Fresh iceberg and romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, Greek Kalamata olives, red onions, and pepperoncini. Traditional Caesar made with fresh romaine lettuce, deli style croutons, parmesan cheese with grilled seasoned chicken breast.

We had Carl's Oxford Diner in mind for lunch today, but upon our arrival there, were disappointed to learn that they were closed from 9/5 thru 9/17 (whether it was for renovations or just vacation, we do not know). We considered a couple of places in Oxford and Webster, but finally decided to check in at an old haunt of ours: Lake Pizza. We had not been in over 20 years, and were surprised and happy to see the changes that had taken place there, mainly, the addition of a bar, and the new and improved dining room.

Had a really good experience there last night. Waitress was extremely nice. Food may have taken a minute or two longer but today, that's the norm. Food was brought out hot, accurate and tasted great. We got a deep dish pizza, calzone and a side salad. Based on this one visit, I would repeat and recommend.

I ordered a cobb salad and I got something different. Cobb salads aren't all mixed up like a tossed salad but this one was. It had no avocado or hard boiled eggs as it should have. Carrots don't belong in a cobb but there they were! Also grilled chicken was supposed to be in it...not turkey cold cuts. It was passable as I was hungry, but definitely not what a cobb salad is supposed to be.

Take my advice and don't get pizza with grinders or anything else. Apparently Lake Pizza doesn't know how to cook food so that everything is done together. The pizza was sitting there getting cold as they prepared our grinders. By the time we got home the pizza was cold and rubbery. This isn't the first time. Last time the fish and chips were cold and soggy..Gross! The pizza was hot that time but how annoying. Someone has to eat cold food. What a waste of money. Maybe your cooks need to be trained on how to cook abd serve food!

Lake pizza used to be great 4 years ago when we first started ordering/dining in. Lately (the past 10 orders) the food has been soggy, wrong, or we're always missing something (side salad, drink, etc.) it's just not enjoyable anymore. Phone staff is very rude as well. I would go elsewhere if your not looking for a disappointment.

This local pizza place has a great variety of foods besides pizza that they do well. We have tried steak tips, fish specials and many other things.
Their pizzas are always full of toppings. Their wraps are huge and come with french fries for a very reasonable price.
If by some chance, they make something wrong they always work to correct it the best way possible for you.

If you want mold on your subs, go there. Brown lettuce, that was my sub, my kid wouldnt even eat hers, waste of time money, not happy ,dropped another 1 off, gee thanks, at least that 1 didnt have mold on it, i couldnt even eat that one, kid & I are still hungry, oh wife had to pick thru her brown salad to get a few bites of green lettuce

I had the chicken kabob. The chicken was very bland and just warm. The rice was also bland and was also barely warm. The veggies however were hot and tasty. Service was very slow which explains why my food wasn't very hot. I also had a water with lunch which was never even offered to be refilled. It's unfortunate that a place that has been around as long as Lake has continues to have subpar food.

Not the best place to eat but it's good when you need something convenient! We don't normally get takeout here - we go in and eat when we want something casual. The staff is always nice! I think most of the entrees come with a soup or salad. My mom and I both got salads and they were pretty underwhelming but not horrible. I got the eggplant parmesan which was good! But something super weird; the water tasted absolutely awful. Like I don't know if it's just Webster water, but it tastes SO BAD. My mom and sister both tried it too and agreed. They are open for business at 11 on Saturdays, however they didnt awnser their phone nor have the doors unlocked until 1130. Ordered a chicken parm sub it was ok. Not very friendly at the pick up counter. but chicken looked burnt and dry. Hardly any sauce or cheese on it. A little disappointed since I was just visiting my childhood town, & lake pizza was so good back then.

Sadly this place has gone downhill over the years. The pizza slowly went from awesome to having a flavorless frozen bread dough taste.
Our last visit I had the eggplant parmesan. The crust fell off completely and turned the dish into a pile of mush. The eggplant was so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife.
If you get stuck going there order a grinder. They remain pretty decent. The restaurant is clean and the service is adequate. One star each for the two.

I read the mixed reviews on this place and decided to give it a try anyway. The reviews were fair. I was looking for a local place that had a good mix of choices to please my crew. Here's my take:
The Good
1. Extensive menu. If everyone in your party isn't on the same page, you could dine/order from here and still make everyone happy.
2. The food. Big portions, well seasoned, hit the mark. Not a culinary masterpiece, but good solid comfort food that delivered on expectations. I would definitely order again.

I REALLY wanted to like this place. Never order food in, but didn't wanna go out or cook tonight. I didn't want the local, typical pizza chain so decided to try here.
1) Their web link here has VERY different prices than what they really are. According to their link, my order was $20-$21; it was almost $26 but I thought, "okay whatever".
2) The pizza taste reminded me 100% of Digiornos (no joke). I'm not picky when it comes to pizza but neither one of us could eat more than 1 slice. Seriously...that Digiorno taste is still in my mouth.
