Was let down by my favorite Chinese place in the area after it had gotten new owners, and just lost hope for a long time. Didn't even know this restaurant existed after my neighbor recommended it. Needless to say we tried it and it was spot on. We had chicken Lo mein and springs rolls with duck sauce. Spot. On. Nothing else to say. We dined at home, so I can not speak about how the restaurant is for dining inside. Everything else was great. We will be back. Most likely a lot!

Nicest staff ever. Wish I had known the fried wontons had pork in them. The place wasn't busy and the seats are hard as a rock in a weird understuffed cushion way. The place is fast and friendly and my daughters and I really enjoyed everything we ate. It doesn't look open because of construction but it is so go there! The beef and broccoli was inhaled by my 12 year old. The garlic spicy veggies and vegetable lo mein was a hit with me and my daughter. She declared the noodles yummy but the veggies too spicy which I thoroughly enjoyed and took the rest home. I wish it had a little more

We went to dinner/ended up at Chef Sau last night. Because we couldn't obtain the supposedly "on-sale" "Alaskan" king crab legs from any Stop & Shop store (see my reviews on this site) and had planned to cook them for dinner last night, we more or less resorted to going out for Chinese food, giving Chef Sau a chance to redeem himself (our last take-out order from him was really bad. See previous review). We had dined in here some time ago and had had a wonderful experience. This time, however, not so much. Maybe it was because this time, for some unknown reason

Called these guys tonight at 8:45 to see how late they were open. Their response? "Dining room closed, you can get takeout if you're ready to order right now and you have to pick it up in ten minutes". So they can cook something up, but they're out the door in ten minutes and don't need to be held up by some damned customer? I found that rude, to say the least, and I'll never eat there again.

I have eaten take-out from Chef Sau several times and each time, I have regretted it. It is the only Chinese restaurant in town, or else I never would have gone back after my first visit.
The food is very salty, has a flat taste, and leaves a sour aftertaste in the mouth. The prices are also above that of other Chinese restaurants in the area.
We have repeatedly ordered the vegetable lo mein, crab Rangoon, chicken fingers, and spring rolls. The chicken inside the chicken fingers is dry, and the lo mein consistently has a flavor I can only describe as "brown."
The other items are neither

Did takeout over the Memorial Day weekend. It was good but nothing special. It was ready in 20 and was still warm when we arrived at our destination in 20. Disappointed with pu pu platter meat which was overcooked and tough. Scallops were nicely done. Broccoli was just right. Flavors/seasonings bit on bland side. Been here before and enjoyed it more in the past.

Got takeout from here on Friday night to take to the Drive-In; great choice. Had heard great things from friends who are regulars but had never stopped before. The order only took 15 minutes and was hot when I picked it up, even after 5-10 minutes down the road to the drive-in it was still piping hot! Order included rangoons(great), chicken fingers, fried rice, chow mein, and pad thai(interesting lemony twist); all were delicious with great flavor. Definitely better than Kahula in Sturbridge and the other dump that is now closed in Charlton; we'll be back.

Their Hot n Sour soup is literally the best I've ever had.
They have great lunch specials that are fairly priced and very generous in terms of portions. Their dishes are all very good - when they say spicy, they mean spicy, which is nice.
Also family friendly! :)
Their hours are a little funky so check on line before you make plans. But definitely worth the trip!!!
