There are a variety of reasons for seeking psychiatric treatment. You may be depressed, anxious, or struggling with uncomfortable feelings or intrusive thoughts. Your relationships may not be going as you would like. There may be a recurring pattern of behavior that is bothersome. In my many years of experience practicing psychiatry, I have observed that people seeking treatment want essentially two things.
First, people want to feel like progress is being made, that their lives are getting better. Second, everyone wants to feel understood. If these two elements are in place, it is likely that a successful treatment is underway. My efforts are devoted to satisfying these two objectives, to remaining in the service of the people who seek my help.

Services
When I am asked about my approach or theoretical orientation, I like to say that I am a person first, a doctor second, and a psychiatrist third. First, like my patients, I am a person with strengths and weaknesses, talents, foibles, and insecurities. When I work with a patient, a relationship is created.
Please send me an email or give me a call if you are interested in speaking with me about setting up an appointment. My office is located in Bala Cynwyd, PA, convenient to all of the Main Line and surrounding suburbs, Philadelphia and the Blue Route. My office is a short walk from City Line Avenue, where buses run.
Payment is expected at the time of each session. All major credit cards, personal check, and cash are acceptable forms of payment. I will provide a statement suitable for submisssion to your insurance company at the end of each month. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be expected to pay for your appointment.
