Welcome to Lil Busy Bodies Preschool located in San Diego's North County historic downtown Vista. Our preschool facility offers Preschool, Summer Camp, and Parents Night Out. Lil Busy Bodies is a holistic program based upon the fundamentals of early childhood development. Our programs focus on the physical, social and cognitive stages and needs of the first 5 years.
Classes are age appropriate and provide opportunity for children to bond with parents/caregivers, teachers and peers while learning and having fun in a positive, non-competitive environment. Services
Allison Gardner (Owner) - Miss Allison is the owner and director of Lil' Busy Bodies Preschool. She has been teaching early childhood educational classes since 2000 in San Diego, Orange County and Phoenix. She graduated San Diego State University with a Bachelors of Science in Recreational Systems Management.
Our preschool program nurtures children's academic growth within a playful setting. Our program offers a play based curriculum that stimulates their natural curiosity and active imagination as they explore new ideas and make new friends. We believe that a child's cognitive, physical, and emotional development, as well as their independence, are fostered in an environment that is intentionally set up for children.
Summer Camp is back! Join us for a fun filled Summer of learning. We will explore 8 exciting themed weeks such as Mad Science, Cooking, Space, Water Week and much more. Camps are enrolled on a weekly basis to keep your lil' ones busy all Summer long. Campers will participate in classroom exploration, art, gym time, and daily highlight activities.

We love this school! My daughter has attended this preschool for nearly two years and has academically learned a lot; more significantly, she has developed important social skills. Before enrolling our daughter, I researched around 20 local preschools including calls, visits, reviews, prices, etc. I knew after meeting Miss Allison, Mr. Frankie, and Miss Vanessa that this was the right school for us. They teach independence, respect and consent (my body, my choice), kindness, helping others, as well as a playing curriculum. Their approach to discipline is most in line with my parenting style -

My daughter has gone to lil busy bodies since before she was 1 and We have loved it. Miss Allison, Mr. Frankie, and Miss Vanessa are the best. They are caring, nurturing, understanding, and all around wonderful. I couldn't be happier with the "mommy and me" classes and preschool at Lil Busy Bodies. I recommend anyone with children to check it out.

My daughter has been a fixture at Lil Busy Bodies since she was an infant. She LOVES it. It was only natural that when she was old enough she continue into their preschool program. The teachers are incredible, so nurturing and gentle, and as a parent I love the focus on learning through play and experience. I can't recommend the school, and the infant and toddler programs enough!

My son and I attended a mommy me class late September of this year, it was our first time going to one of these classes so I was super excited.
We had to leave early because it was my sons bed time and he was getting agitated. Anyways! Over all it was an OK experience, not the best like the rest of these reviews.
Couple days later, my son had bumps all over his body with fevers! Took him to urgent care and YEAP! Hands foot and mouth. As a courtesy I called this place to just let them know my son had it, no response back. I left a voicemail, no response back. Idk how many times I called but

My 2 year old twins LOVE Ms. Allison and Lil Busy Bodies. We go the mommy & me class once a week and they love it so much, they talk about it the whole week until we go back! We've been going for a few months now and are looking forward to transitioning to drop off preschool in the future. I found Ms. Allison through another mom of twins who has had all of her kids there.

I've debated changing my rating for a few months now. I'm very upset about an incident at the school, how it was handled and the apathy in handling of the situation. I gave myself some time to cool down before updating. I value small businesses and don't like to give bad reviews if I can help it.

My kids adore this place. There are squeals of excitement whenever we go to classes or camp, often followed by tears and whines whenever we have to leave! We moved in to the area a little over 7 months ago and this place has been so instrumental in helping us all settle and feel at home. The teachers work their magic on all the littles- mine are always taking about Frankie, Miss Ti, Miss Alison and of course, Bun Bun the kale loving bunny rabbit. How much do I love this place?! I brought my 2-year-old daughter here one day for a free Parent and Me class and we've been coming back ever since. She LOVES it. And I couldn't stop smiling the entire time, watching her delight with everything. It's great...she gets to free-play with her friends for a while, then participate in a short circle time, she gets to do art (messy art that I never bother with at home - painted hand prints are her jam!), and finish it all off with tumble time in the gym. Seriously, this is the best money ever spent on a preschool prep class. Miss Allison

Awesome way to spend Saturday morning with the kids! Ms Alison is awesome with kids and always has a great team at her PlaySchool. We've been coming here for years - 3 kids worth, and have brought a lot of guests. Since I'm Dad I don't get to do most of the weekday activities but on Saturday every week we're here in downtown Vista to hang out with Ms Alison and friends! Awesome place! In fact hands down the best place to bring babies, toddlers, and small children for open gym and classes!

My one year old and I come here for music class and we love it. Miss Allison does a great job of keeping the kids entertained and my daughter always has fun when we go. Miss Allison sets up "open play" in the gym and the kids just run around and they love it. It is a great place to take your kid to get some socialization while exploring different kinds of music.
Miss Allison also does a parents night out on Saturdays that we are going to try out soon. Overall, if you have a small child this is the perfect place to take them to meet other kids and have fun.

This place is so fun! Kids don't want to leave! The teachers are energetic and you can tell they really love kids and what they do. The classroom and play gym are clean and organized but friendly and welcoming enough for kids to come right in and play. Miss Allison really had a passion for kids and works really hard.

Love Ms. Allison. My son has been going to her classes since he was 8 months (almost 4 now) and loved all of them- PlayGym, dance, art, even the preschool prep classes. There are stories, crafts, music and mvoement. The concept is awesome- kids are active, so let them be. Ms. Allison is always smiling and happy, super friendly, and never pushy when my son didn't want to do what the rest of the group was doing.

My kids have been going to Miss Allison for over 2 years and her classes are filled with tons of activities for the kids. She has a great selection of classes that range from Baby & Me (Play/Music/Art/Gym), Play School (Preschool Alternative), Kinder Steps (Pre-K), Dance/Yoga/ Tumbling-Movement, Parents Night, Open Play & much more!
You won't be disappointed and your kids will love it too! My kids don't want to leave! Her prices are very reasonable and well worth it. You can even have a birthday party at her facility.
