What makes Aeris different is our programs to offer investment opportunities for associates at all levels. We believe when employees are vested in the performance of an investment their overall approach changes. Our approach is to teach all associates the direct relationship their specific role has on equity growth.
The talents and contributions at every level, from senior leadership, maintenance, leasing or porter the connection is directly relevant to equity growth. We like to think our recipe for operating long term and value add income property is the right blend of old fashioned honesty, high values on your word with your customer and knowing the local market 25 years deep.

The leasing agents generally are professional and nice. The property maintenance could use some improvement but it's not terrible. However, the owner Carie Powell, is extremely racist and does not try to hide it (when directly dealing with the person of color on an individual level / one on one). Tenants of color are made to feel uncomfortable, not welcomed and treated unfairly by her. I'm shocked that the news hasn't been alerted about this company yet, or an investigation done into the owner due to her overstepping certain civil rights laws. Perhaps others like myself have just

Sequoia Grove in San Leandro. Usually I am not one to leave reviews as they have a strong effect on a company. But Aeris Properties has been awful. Since November they have turned off water five times for "regular maintenance," yet, five times is NOT normal for anywhere you may live. On top of that, the boiler has gone out twice, leaving us without hot water for up to 4 days. Unfortunately for my wife, that meant she had no hot water the day after a surgery for four days! To add to the negative, we have had constant drainage issues in our bathtub and bathroom sink. Nothing we do

Beware: This property management company is shady. I lived at one of their properties for two years and they were probably the most stressful and problematic years due to their lack of managerial skills. Property managers assigned to us would get replaced every month, it seemed as if when managers would help out tenants out the company replaced them. They send out very rude and offensive emails when they want to address issues at the property... speaking of rude and unprofessional (He looks unprofessional too) the current "regional manager" working there named EDGAR ALEMAN is what you

Don't trust this property. They will scam you and pretend that they didn't charge you exorbitant fees to justify not refunding you. I only dealt with them for the rental application process, so I can't imagine how disastrous dealing with them while renting a property would be.
My co-applicants and I applied for a unit in the Casa Bonita (Berkeley students be warned). While filling out our application, we realized that the application portal didn't allow us to include multiple co-signers (or what they call guarantors). After a rude and downright unenjoyable phone call with Edgar

This company called us to do some glass repairs on a property in Berkeley. We sent a tech out to the site the next day after they called and the repair had already been completed by another service company. No cancellation call had been made to let us know we were not needed. We sent them a bill for a basic trip charge to berkeley (a two hour trip there and back total, but only charged them for about an hour), and they refuse to respond to our bill or give us any explanation if it will be paid. When you call the number on their website it goes straight to voicemail. Kind of a shady way to
