Since it was first opened by Anton Wilbert in the late 1830's, Wilbert Funeral Services has steadily grown. Our founder built and sold coffins to start the business. Anton had seven sons who founded a corporation known as A. Wilbert and Sons, Lumber and Shingle Company. After Anton's death, his son Joseph took helm of the funeral business.

Staff members of Wilbert Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Anna Wilbert Breaux is the only daughter of John W. "Johnny Boy" Wilbert, Jr. who came to work full time with her father in 1985 and was licensed as a Funeral Director in 1993.

Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events.
