Knock Shrine has attracted millions visitors over the last one hundred years, including Pope John Paul ll and Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Since the apparition of Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, John the Evangelist, angels and Jesus Christ in 1879 Knock Shrine has become a place of pilgrimage. While the original church still stands, the complex now incorporates five churches including the Basilica.
A 5km looped walk surrounding Clare Lake, offers a chance to use the playground, feed the ducks and maybe get a glimpse of the 2 giants. Check the chair for Clare! And watch out for Morris's huge hand as he hunts around frantically for his mislaid glasses! A FREE family amenity with two giants no one has ever seen.
