Shauna is always so friendly and does a fantastic job. I did not get my hair done for maybe 15 years because of a bad experience and Shauna has been the perfect hair/beauty professional for me to go with. She is an excellent color artist and matched my new hair extensions exactly. I have had a move up, and she did an excellent job fixing a small problem I had recently as well. I have had so many compliments on my hair. I also think my hair looks fantastic and is easy to take care of with the simple instructions she gave me.

Britt is an amazing stylist. She helped me lighten my brunette hair to an ash blonde as I transition to my silver strands. She did this in stages to take care of the quality of my hair. No other stylist I spoke with was up for doing this. She discussed all aspects of the process. The new growth blends nicely with the lighter color. I can’t thank her enough; she comes highly recommended!

So glad I found this salon! Shauna was very informative and did a great job on my hair. Nothing fancy but was exactly what I was asking for (which is hard to find these days). My hair feels so much better. Will definitely be coming back for regular visits for myself and my daughter.

Tara did a great job coloring my hair. I love the color! She is always super friendly and takes the time to discuss what I want, adding her expertise and advice, so that we are in agreement with what she's going to do.
In addition, Madison did a fantastic job shampooing, cutting and blowing out my hair. She took her time, which is super important to me. My hair appointments are my "spa" day, when I get to treat myself. I appreciate it when stylists take their time, so that it's a relaxing experience. Both Tara and Madison did this--which made my appointment an awesome one.

Update - Owner has threatened me with legal action for posting my review after I asked for a refund instead of having her cut my hair for free.
I can't wait to make a video and post more pics showing how horrible this haircut really is. It will take forever to grow out, but when it does, I'll post a pic when I get it cut and styled to look exactly like the sample pic I provided Ginger with. I've been receiving this cut and style from my previous stylist for many years without fail.

I LOOOOVED my haircut! I came in and was asked to wash my hands and fill out a waiver stating I had no contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID. I made my appointment with Tara just because she was available early in the day and she did not disappoint. I'm very happy with the cut I got.

I have been going to Kaili at Canvas Salon and Skin Bar for a year and half. I have extra long hair and I get a lot of compliments on how healthy and pretty my hair is. I always say, "Thanks, go see my girl Kaili, she does magic with Aveda products. She listens to my wants and follows through perfectly, with no pressure- I love her."
As for the salon-It's super clean, freshly remolded and COVID compliance. Prices are affordable, plenty of parking, staff is friendly and it's to make appointments and pay.

Left in tears, after being there for cut and balayage. No before pics were taken, I took my own thought it was odd as it was to be as a model. Was there for almost 5 hours. Was told that I should have 3 inches off to fix my hair, 2 were taken off. I wanted the cut if hair to frame my face. I showed pictures of cut, color, what I wanted what I did not want. My hair does not even look like balayage, looks like hi lites, balayage was not even color I wanted asked for. Was assured there would pops of color of super blonde. Was told to come back if I wanted cut and color to be fixed, and pay someone

The manager reached out and I headed back into Canvas to give it another try. Britt, an apprentice, did my color and it's a major improvement over the last time. Britt made an extra effort to make sure all of the color was rinsed away, which I imagine is easier since the wash bowls are new and so much better than before! Much happier with this visit.

Visiting from out of state and went to this place because it had such good reviews. WOW, don't trust yelp all the time! I brought my own curing spray and the stylist wouldn't use it. My super straight hair, that I went there to get curled was falling straight before I hit the door. What a waste of money. NEVER AGAIN!

Kaili was so fantastic - I can't get over how great my hair looks now compared to the mess it was when I came in. Before she worked her magic, my hair was washed out and had several inches of dark roots (and not in a glamorous trendy way). Now my hair is a uniform color like I prefer but still has great tone and dimension. Even if you don't work or live in Powell she is definitely worth the trip!!

Both times I have gone, the girls are very sweet and accommodating. Very nice and clean facility. My appointment was easy to make and the girls are very professional. Both sessions were amazing but the second time I had with Leah J who is young but did a killer job. Probably my favorite haircut I have ever received. She executed my requests perfectly and did a little extra styling after. I will be going back, again and again.

Tara was amazing...she perfectly understood what I wanted with my hair...she did an awesome job with my hair color...The experience since I got to the salon, the initial massage, the quality of the products, the delicious smell of the salon, to lush spices contributes to the ambiance it transported me instantly into a magic garden, all those little things that make you feel pampered..Tara is a very accomplished stylist...Ten thumbs up!!..You just won a new loyal client...Thank You so much!..

The only Star in this salon is a stylist/colorist named Somer. I had been going to her for over a year. She's a top level stylist colorist and as you will see by my before photo, does an amazing job of coloring long hair without damaging it. Due to many things going on I had not booked with her soon enough (she is in high demand for a reason). I had been told I could see any other colorist in the salon and they would have access to the colors used by Somer. Because my roots had grown out and could not get in with Somer for a few more weeks I booked with Tara.

Tara (new talent) did a fantastic job at my appointment today. I got a women's cut, the $10 shine/conditioning treatment, and she blew dry and styled my hair with voluminous beach waves. She's very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to fine/thin hair - she offered invaluable advice to help manage it and make it better. Love Canvas, love Tara. Can't wait to get my hair cut with her again.

I reviewed Canvas awhile back for my experience getting my hair cut by Ginger. I had been getting my brows done at European Wax Center and they did a great job but my skin is super sensitive and would break out every time. I've now had my brows waxed and tinted four times and have been very pleased with the quick process, great outcome and reasonable price ($30). My skin has never broken out and I have very little redness on my pasty self even by the time I get to my car!
