Powell Hair Design is conveniently located 0.3 miles north of Powell Rd in the Liberty-Grace Plaza. Powell hair design was opened in may of 1986 by Pat Petty, and was the first licensed barbershop in Powell. Pat served Powell for 35 years making friends and providing his services to many people over his time.

Pat's nephew Jason joined him in 1992 and was lucky enough to work side by side with his uncle for 28 years before Pat's retirement. We were fortunate to have Katie join us in 2016 with 17 years experience barbering.

Pat is the nicest and best barber in the Columbus area !! They are also very reasonable in their pricing especially for those of us who are retired !!

Based on the reviews of this barber shop prior to making an appointment, I had the expectation that I was going to receive a quality haircut. The barber cut an uneven hairline and left a couple of uncut patches on the back of my head. Very disappointed that I drove 45 min out for a low quality haircut and had to fix it up myself.

There are 3 talented barbers here. They take walk-ins but it can get iffy at times. It's best to call ahead for an appointment.

Two barbers, pretty busy so appointments are best though walk-ins are accepted. Quick cut, great prices, good conversation. New to Powell and was looking for barbershop...not any more. Will definitely be coming back.

This place is absolutely fantastic. After trying a few of the traditional kid's places and being very disappointed, a neighbor recommended Powell Hair Design. We've never gone anywhere since and have always been pleased with the atmosphere, price, service and cut. The two men that work there are so kind and feel like staples in the community. Being there makes me feel like I'm back in a small town! Tip: make an appt!!!

This is a Classic barber shop with excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. Pat and Jason are professionals and run a great local business.

This is the first barber shop/hair cutting place I have been to consistently, that I have not been disappointed in. Great barbers, price and even atmosphere. Will continue to get my hair cut there for quite a while.
