Services
Our veterinary team has had the pleasure of treating multiple generations of pets and pet owners alike. Interacting with our clients is one of our favorite parts of the job, and we want everyone to feel comfortable enough to ask questions and collaborate on your special friend's long-term health plan.
Since 1981, Spoon River Animal Clinic has delivered exceptional veterinary care to the dogs, cats, horses, and livestock of Canton, IL, and the surrounding areas. Led by Drs. David Hahn and Sarah Phipps, the staff at Spoon River Animal Clinic is a team of talented and courteous professionals with a deep love for animals.
Spoon River Animal Clinic is proud to be an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Less than 15% of animal hospitals in the US hold this distinction. Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. AAHA regularly evaluates our hospital to ensure that we comply with the association's standards for facilities, equipment, and quality procedures.
Human medicine is based on the merits of preventive health care. You visit your doctor regularly, even when you are healthy, so that your doctor can check in on your overall health and perform screenings for common diseases. The same applies for your pet's veterinary care. At Spoon River Animal Clinic, we understand the importance of preventive pet care.
If you are concerned about a change in your pet's health or behavior, the best thing to do is schedule an appointment with your veterinarian. Although it may be tempting to search for a diagnosis on the Internet, in most cases only a veterinary clinic has the resources to correctly diagnose your pet.

My parents had our family pets with SRAC in Canton and I as an adult have had my cat with them for 13 and a half years. They are very caring and do everything they can to help your furbabies. I'm very pleased with them and the services they provide for my baby when he needs to go in to be seen. They are very attentive to his needs and his issues. I highly recommend Spoon River Animal Clinic, hands down they are amazing people and truly care about your little furry family member.

They always get my pets in when needed. They truly care I've never had the feeling its just a job from the vets, techs or girls out front( the glue that keeps everything going). They all truly want to make a difference in you and your pets life!

I had an issue with my cat that needed an emergency visit and they were able to get me in that day. They explained everything very well, they were very kind, and the visit was relatively fast. 30 days and a check-up later and everything is good and my boy is nice and healthy :)

Didn't prescribe pain killers for our seriously injured rabbit and the next vet we took him to because they couldn't help him was so upset and let us know our rabbit was in a lot of pain. They almost charged for two x-rays instead of one, but we caught it and they refunded one, and they didn't catch that he was sick as well. I wish so much I could give them a good review, and I wish them all the best, but I wouldn't recommend them.
