Counseling, we genuinely believe in the importance of honesty (H), openness (O), patience (P), and effort (E) so people have an opportunity to make significant, positive changes in their lives. Counseling is an outpatient substance abuse treatment program certified by the State of Ohio. H.O.P.E.

Counseling provides drug and alcohol counseling and treatment to individuals with drug and alcohol abuse and dependence issues and their related mental/emotional health concerns.Counseling also provides mental health treatment for those who need depression counseling or anxiety counseling. Other important personal issues addressed during these professional services include, but are not limited to stress, anger, relationships, and grief.
Services
Fred Stevens, an independently licensed and certified counselor/therapist, has been in the helping profession for over twenty five years. After working in a municipal court system where he began to develop counseling skills listening to people and evaluating their concerns, Fred worked in three Cleveland social service organizations for eight years.
The assessment of an individual to determine the nature and extent of his/her abuse, misuse and/or addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. Assessment services consist of time limited, structured, face-to-face sessions. Face-to-face assessment sessions can include family members, legal guardians and/or significant others when the intended outcome of sessions is to learn about the nature and extent of a client's alcohol and/or drug problem.
Individual Counseling: A face-to-face encounter between a client and a counselor. Individual counseling provided by a counselor at H.O.P.E. Counseling involves the utilization of special skills to assist an individual in achieving treatment objectives through the exploration of alcohol and other drug problems and/or addiction and their ramifications.
Group Counseling: The utilization of special skills to assist two or more individuals in achieving treatment objectives. Group counseling provided by a counselor at H.O.P.E.

Counseling involves the exploration of alcohol and other drug problems and/or addiction and their ramifications, including an examination of attitudes and feelings, consideration of alternative solutions and decision making and/or discussing information related to alcohol and other drug related problems.The client to counselor ratio for group counseling will not be greater than twelve to one.
Activities provided to assist and support individuals in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational and other services essential to meeting basic human needs. Case management services may include interactions with family members, other individuals or entities.

Assisting individuals in obtaining necessary services such as financial assistance, housing assistance, food, clothing, medical services, educational services, vocational services, recreational services, etc.Assisting individuals in increasing social support networks with family members, friends, and/or organizations.
