We love the ELC Forest School program at MVCDS! Every morning our son is excited to get to school and get out to the woods. In just the first few months, we've seen him become stronger, have better balance, and gain overall confidence. But it's not just a physical experience for him; he's building friendships and exploring literacy and math out there too.
The Maumee Valley Prekindergarten curriculum is based on inquiry and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment. As a Forest School inspired program, we spend a portion of each day exploring Maumee Valley's 75 acres. Our goal is to encourage, motivate, engage, and inspire children through positive outdoor experiences year-round.
Kindergarten serves as the bridge between Maumee Valley's Early Learning Center and the Lower School. We believe learning through playful inquiry is the foundation for intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. Play-based learning allows children to engage their minds, organize their thoughts, and store information using all of their senses.
Maumee Valley offers multiple program options. We understand that young children develop at different rates and that not all children are ready for full-day programs when starting their educational journey. Maumee Valley Country Day School is the only age 3 - 12th grade accredited, co-educational, independent school in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Good thing - it challenged me more than public school; which really isn't saying much in itself. The school favors what they call "lifers" or people who have been there their entire lives. The longer you've been there the more rewards and teachers favor you get. Teaching staff tend to also favor the children who are better off and events tend to be centered around them. Race plays a huge role. If you're a white American this will be the best school for you to go to. They have racist teachers, who will do everything they can to put you down and separate groups.
