Raised in Seymour, Indiana. Pat graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance. Began his career as a Commercial Loan Officer in Indianapolis. Moved to Texas in 2003 to help in the family business. Opened Tax Time in Frisco in 2006. Pat is married with two children.

Rebate Recovery Credit- The delay is caused because of the amount of time it is taking the IRS to confirm whether the taxpayer claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit previously received the stimulus payment. If the IRS shows payment was sent out, they are required to issue a 'trace' to find out who received the stimulus check.

Jade is the best! Quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. She also has a great personality and memory! 2021 was our 3rd year to use her. My husband is self employed which can make for a very tricky tax filing. She always gets us the most deductions possible. They also let you pay after you get your refund. Office location is great too. Hubby and I usually make a date out of our tax day, going to a near by movie theater and Cheesecake Factory.

My Father does my taxes through TurboTax and it looks like I was owning more to the IRA than normal but thanks fully I was set up with a professional Tax person in Karrie to help me out with my situation.

Kerrie and the management (Dawn) really helped me get back on track with taxes. I was audited for the first time in 2015 because I did my taxes through TurboTax right out of college with my first big job that had a HSA. Lesson learned. They helped me and saved me so much worry and anxiety. I didn't know what to do so I did nothing for 4 years!!!?? I have been going to Tax Time in Frisco TX for the past 8 years. I can honestly say Jade Gust is the BEST!! We have had a rental property in MN and a couple small businesses over these 8 years and Jade understands the tax laws and can advise on our best approach to how to make the most of our businesses. I came to Tax Time because of all the great reviews. I had a horrible experience with them. I came to get my 2016 taxes done, and also to get an adjustment from an incorrect state return from 2014 when I worked in New Jersey.
They weren't able to get a higher return for me than TurboTax could for 2016 since my taxes were pretty simple. No problem, I can do it on my own and I was grateful they were transparent about it and didn't charge me unnecessarily.

I've done business here for several years and I can't imagine bringing my semi-complex taxes to anyone else. Pat and his team are absolutely outstanding professionals. Very reasonably priced and personable. I'm always nervous around that time of the year and like a good doctor Pat sidetracks you with conversation and before you know it the xanax kicks in and the procedure is over. Worst tax company I've ever used! I initially was recommend Jade who literally ignored me for over a month, while I was trying to get my taxes prepared to move into a new apartment last year. Not to mention that their hours mean nothing. They always close before their hours actually end, no one EVER answers the phone, let alone calls you back! Pat wasn't any better. He took over for Jade's massive screw ups and then tried to charge me $500 for my tax preparation, even though I was told that Jade would be doing it for $100 (I literally didn't have anything for him to do.) and

I have been one of Pat's original customers from the first year he opened. I have never thought about another tax person since. Pat is the best CPA I've ever encountered and in 42 years I've encountered many. He knows his tax laws, rules, and newest changes. Had a great experience at Tax Time this year. We had Carly prepare our taxes and she was fantastic. I had just walked in the door and was immediately greeted with a smile and brought to her office. After going through our information, she provided an estimate, did a thorough job in asking about all possible tax documents that we could have received and followed up with any additional pieces via email.
We were dealing with a relocation, so had tax documents from a different state, moving expenses, etc. Throughout the process when we had questions she was very responsive and explained everything

Pat Hagerty from Tax Time is great! My former CPA flaked out on me a few days prior to the tax deadline (despite my getting my documents to her half a year prior)..... and Pat stepped in at the last minute and helped me out in a pinch. Not only did he do everything he could to help me get everything finished and filed at the last minute on time for the deadline, he also helped me save a huge additional amount that my prior CPA had missed in the initial draft. Our regular tax office had to close due to a family emergency with just a few days left before the deadline. Tax Time was able to get us in right away. They have WONDERFUL customer service, and are so very helpful in finding ways to save as much money as possible. We will definitely be back next year.

My favorite thing ever is getting my taxes done...
....said no one, ever.
BUT, Jade makes the whole experience as painless as possible. Even if you do owe the IRS a zillion dollars! She has a candy bowl in her office that has the GOOD stuff like snickers, twizzlers, reeces, etc. I pretty much clean her out on every visit. The sugar high distracts me from the empty feeling in my pockets, which I appreciate.
Jade is fast (but accurate) at calculating what you owe, or I guess your refund if you're fortunate enough to get money back! I love her and she's probably done my taxes now for
