Salon DP Lorana is located in East Brunswick, NJ managed and owned by Donna McLaughlin. Our mission is dedicated to enhancing and nurturing your own natural beauty. Together we will create a style that is unique to you by marrying the color and cut together. The salon has a staff of highly talented and certified stylists.
Allow our team of experts to bring your bridal vision to life-perfect hair & makeup! We will send you down the aisle in perfection. We encourage you to bring pictures of hair or makeup styles that you like, if you have a particular look in mind. It is also helpful to have images of makeup or hairstyles that you do not like to better assist your stylist as well.
Please help us by being on time for your appointment. Our scheduling is designed to permit the maximum time the stylist will need. To ensure your future appointments we recommend that our guests schedule their next appointment prior to leaving the salon. Please be courteous to our other guests and allow a MINIMUM of 24 hours when cancelling an appointment to allow our staff time to fill the time spot.

Waited 6 weeks for appointment with Donna, the owner. Asked for a different stylist but she talked me into going to her. Wanted and payed for root color and more highlights. What should have taken 2 hours took 4, not enough time for haircut. Glaze she put on completely covered highlights and and me look like a bleached blonde. No contrast. I could have bought a $6 box of color instead of "getting" highlights. Charged a lot extra for using credit card but never told me when I made appointment. Who carries $250 cash if they aren't aware they need it. Will NEVER return

I love this salon! I have hopped in few here and there for my coloring/cuts but I go back to DO Lorana! Kelly is my hairstylist and she always “gets” me. I have had other stylists doing my hair also and I have… never been disappointing there. They are ALL extremely friendly and never rude. Pleasant to go there. And will Go back again! Thank you!

Bad experience with Jessica. I bought a groupon coupon after reading good reviews about Jessica.
I got appointment very easily, but was not satisfied the way she was not paying attention to what I wanna say. And also, she just did trimming and was not able to answer any of my questions related to hairs.
They charge extra amount, saying my hairs are thick. I just hate this kind of salon where they just show off and don't know anything.

Scam. If you buy their Groupon voucher, pls ask Groupon to refund and don't go there. When called to booked appointment, the lady over phone told they charge extra if hair is greater than shoulder length. Why would anyone have a haircut if length of hair is shorter than shoulder . And partial highlight is a joke, they charge extra for the color you chose. You should get the color dyed as per their liking, you should ready to get your hair colored as per their liking. WTH. Trust me, go to any other decent hair salon. The Groupon website does not mention anything of these details in fine print as

September 7, 2019 was my very first time using this salon, my experience was excellent!
From the very start I was treated very warmly from the receptionist ..(sorry I do not know her name) but she was lovely and very accommodating!
Jess did my hair and she did an amazing job and is one of the kindest, most patient people I've ever met.
I had a function to go to that evening and received so many compliments on how beautiful my hair looked ! Most importantly I absolutely loved it myself.
Will definitely use this salon again..this is my new go to salon ...proud to say

Sheer waste of my $150. Yes $150. I won’t ever go back here. Kelly was my hair dresser. She was rude to begin with & ended rudely. I had pictures of both hair cut and hair color that I wanted to go for on my phone. But highly disappointed in both. I was rushed with my haircut, no blow dry(even though I was charged for it) had to leave with damp hair. I never had such a bad experience.Felt cheated

I went to this salon earlier this year with a Groupon ($32 for conditioning treatment, haircut, and blowout). I was notified after making my appointment that depending on my hair length I may be charged extra. The receptionist said if this was the case my stylist will inform me. My stylist did inform me, but she informed me AFTER everything was done. She never said a word to me about charging me extra until I was getting up out of the chair to leave. Went to the salon, it was a very pleasant atmosphere and very clean. The service was exceptional and my haircut was very good. Being a man, sometimes you feel uncomfortable about going to the salon, but there were other men here, and other people to make you feel very comfortable about everything. I’ve been going here for over a year and a half and decided to do a review. I’m very happy with the pricing and everything in the salon. I would highly recommend this to anyone to go to.

Originally discovered this place through Groupon - lucky pick! Extremely friendly service and nice interior, offering water/coffee. I go to Kelly and I usually get blonde highlights for summer or with toner for a warm look in winter, long layers, and a blow out. I'm a natural brunette with thick, dry hair (from processing over the years). Kelly does a wonderful job maintaining it and allowing me to walk out of the salon in style without a flat iron touching it.

I first went here because of a Groupon. Everyone on staff is courteous and accommodating. Kelly was my stylist. She did partial highlights, which were a perfect blend to the highlights I already had in my hair. I also trusted her to give me bangs! I'm so glad I did because she did a phenomenal job and I received many compliments! I just went back and asked for Kelly again. She trimmed up my bangs. I went here because I got a Groupon and boy was I glad I did! I had an appointment but called and was able to come in earlier. I was treated like a queen by Nicolette. I got a color and cut and she was careful to ascertain exactly what I wanted. She did a wonderful job of updating my hairdo and making sure I knew how to care for it. Donna, the salon owner, was a constant presence, making sure that all of the customers were happy. The only issue was that it was easy to miss as I drove by. I had to go back around to get there as I missed the driveway. I highly recommend this salon!!!!!

My sister told me about an amazing groupon she found over 2 years ago and said I had to try the salon. I ended up with an amazing stylist named Amanda. I had my hair cut, highlighted (first time), and conditioned. I was in love with how natural the highlights looked when I got them and when they started to grow out. I have been coming back to the salon ever since even though it is a 45 minute drive. It is totally worth it. My sister and I LOVE Amanda!!! Thank you for making us feel and look our best. <3

Got a Groupon and decided to check this place out. Cecelia did a good job with my hair. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a cut that I liked. The place was really clean and warm. Offered me tea and coffee to drink as I arrived. Good people! Just be aware that they charge $25 for hair touching the shoulders and below.

I originally booked an appointment with Amanda but got rescheduled for some reason with the owner. I used the Groupon for a partial highlight and cut. I've been getting my hair done for a while now so I made sure it would turn out how I wanted. Thankfully it did, the color was fine but the cut could've been better.
