For nearly 35 years, we've been servicing the dental needs of Columbia's families. Our practice was founded in 1979 by Dr. George Gee and his wife and practice manager, Linda Gee. Their son, Dr. Nicholas Gee, joined the practice in 2005. As a Columbia, South Carolina Dentist, we strive to bring excellence to all we do.
Going to the dentist is not generally one of our favorite things to do, but if we are going to have the best oral health, we need to make visits to our dentist regularly. This is just not about checking our oral health but also our systemic health as well. New studies have shown a direct link between our oral health and our overall physical health.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
One common emergency is a tooth getting knocked out. Teeth that have been knocked out can be re-implanted but time is a crucial factor. It is instinct to clean the tooth, but you shouldn't wipe it off because it could remove important tissue. If you knock out your tooth put it in some milk which will help preserve it until you get to the doctor.
Most people would agree that one of the first things you notice about someone is their smile. Apart from being aesthetically appealing to others, having a beautiful smile has profound effects on your self-confidence as well. Our cosmetic dental patients tell us that enhancing their smiles was one of the best investments that they have made in themselves because of the self-confidence they achieved.

Been going to Dr Gee for a few years. His staff is exceptional and caring. Dr Gee is an amazing professional and I would recommend him and his business to anyone seeking an established dentist in the area. Even if I move 2 hours away I will make the trip to see him and his staff. I appreciate all they do for my family and my dental needs.

Dr. Gee and staff are phenomenal. They treat their patients like family, recognizing you by name when you walk in the door. Dr. Gee explains procedures thoroughly and puts you at ease with his non-judgemental demeanor. He is honest, trustworthy, and a perfectionist. All admirable traits in a medical provider. Only regret is that I didn’t find him sooner! Could not recommend more.

Jason and I have been looking for a new dentist for a while, as ours retired. Some friends recommended we call here and so we did and had our first cleaning appointment on Wednesday. We were blown away with the entire place, from the front receptionist to the hygentist to Dr Gee. It was like long lost friends reuniting. Dentists visits are not something either of us like, but we can both say this was an enjoyable appointment! Perfect fit for us, small, made us extremely comfortable, family feel and we just hate we missed out before now! Glad that these type of small businesses still exist and thankful

Truly the most Caring dentist I have ever met. I have extensive dental work from a previous practice and Dr. Gee is faced with solutions for me with my issues. He is a superb dentist and goes out of his way to help his patients. I'm so fortunate to have found his practice with his friendly staff. I recommend him to all my friends.

If you need a dentist in the Columbia, SC area simply google dentists and the names of scores of dentists will appear...you can select one and copy the number and call for an appointment. On the other hand if you need a DENTIST then I would recommend that you consider Nicholas D. Gee at 1701 Saint Julian PL.
