Grand River Hospital District is here to serve the 27,000+ individuals within our 1500 square-mile service territory. The District accomplishes this through the dedication of over 550 employees and over 100 affiliated physicians. About 90% of our revenue is generated from payment we receive for patient care.
Grand River Health has an enormous volunteer force. Nearly 200 individuals dedicate their time and talent to make a real difference in the lives of their fellow community members. Grand River Health's volunteer force represents a diverse group. These dedicated individuals improve patient care and customer service; connect to seniors, the homebound and disabled members of our community.
The Grand River Hospital District Volunteer Association or GRHDVA is a very active part of Volunteers Services. The GRHDVA usually meet on the first Wednesday of the month please check Volunteer Services calendar for any changes at 9:30-10:30 for a semi-formal Robert's Rule meeting. Often an informational program will follow from 10:30 - 11:00 or 11:30 depending on the topic.
Grand River Health has proudly operated the Meals on Wheels program since 1976 and with your help we can ensure this program keeps offering low-cost and free meals to the local citizens who need them. Grand River Meals on Wheels received over $65,000 through past grants and gifts from Subaru National and Glenwood Springs Subaru.
Our 5th annual Empty Bowls event was a huge success thanks to our staff and our community. We hope to have over 600 bowls next year. Thanks to our Colorado Mountain College Rifle Campus Ceramic students who provided handcrafted bowls to keep. The delicious soups were made by our very talented CMC Culinary students and our Cafe staff who do an excellent job mentoring and guiding them.

Every time I tried to reach my mother who was severely sick, the front desk employees for med surge were aweful. They were seriously unprofessional and inconsiderate. I simply would ask for an update on my mother's condition. They would tell me the doctor would call. They would go by. I got nothing. Then I would call back and they would treat me poorly and say the same thing. They'll call me back. They never did. When I did talk to one of the doctors she was condescending and rude. They made up reasons why my mother was not available, transfered me to places in the hospital that wasn't her room

Physical therapy care was great, but billing was a nightmare. I asked for plan clarification before care and the bill's amount was a big surprise a month later. It did not match what was explained to me at all. Visits are billed based on what machines you use in the therapy room such as total gym opposed to bands. Some visits were twice as much as others when I did basic exercises each visit. Know what you're signing up for and drill down on exactly what everything costs. No staff member will give proper insight into your costs. The care is low.

Thank you Dr Ty B Nichols for surprising me and being a healer, being educated, and realistic. We need more doctors like yourself who practice medicine, and actually understand it. I was in very bad shape in the Er i couldn't sleep in days i was in excruciating pain, i was going insane. You treated me like a human being. More doctors should take a lesson from you on bedside manner.

The clinic is a freaking joke! Let's blame everything on covid and being short staffed oh and being Monday! Yes we get it everyone is short staffed and yes covid whatever but to have receptionists who are just plain rude and condescending and act like they know what they hell they are doing is a joke. A receptionist should not be able to do anything besides make an appointment and pass messages along, they should not be giving medical advice or taking prescription refills. Also is shouldn't take an 1 or longer to answer the phones. People need to be shown compassion when calling a doctors office

I've had nothing but excessive bills and no real help. I got a back brace from Amazon that does better help than this hospital. I have seen a chiropractor that helps more than this place. They want to charge you for more diagnosis rather than give actually treatments. They don't want to treat anyone. Just run tests, m.r.i, x-ray. I got charged over 200 for a doctor to lift my leg, turn around and say "you diagnosed yourself good job". Over $200 to have some untrained/ unprofessional doctor lift my leg. I have a herniated disk in my lumbar region of my spine, (lower back pain), it been causing ciatic

Being a chronic pain patient for 41 years. I don’t have to expressed to fellow suffers what it takes to make a trip to the emergency room.
The fear of persecution and judgment over my 41 year experience has been a significant factor in enduring Continued suffering and refusal to seek treatment for fear of judgment.
I have never in my entire history been treated with the care, compassion and integrity That doctor Nichols and nurse WJH provided me.
The medical care I received was nothing short of outstanding,

Phenomenal Care in the ER!
Natalie, our nurse, and Dr. Knight were some of the kindest, most caring, thorough medical professionals I've ever dealt with. Everything went quickly and efficiently. Test results came back super fast. If you ever have the misfortune to need care, you will be fortunate to be cared for at this ER.

The emergency department is AWFUL!!!! The nurses are hateful and completely unprofessional. This hospital is not set up for life threatening emergencies either. Seriously don't trust the nurses!!!! Awful awful women. Not all of them, but MOST!!! Be very careful when deciding whether or not to go here! Just to add, my friends son had an emergency with his private, and it ended up that this hospital gave him an emergency circumcision, gave him stitches and on the way home he almost bled to death because they cut something they weren't suppose to. Be careful!

I have been to Grand River Health Clinic twice, once for my daughter to receive a physical and once for myself when I was ill. Both times the staff were incredibly considerate and professional. They have taken the time to listen to what we needed, provided extremely prompt attention, and were nice! My daughter forgot her classes for her physical, they allowed us to go home to get them, and come right back in to conclude that part (we live in New Castle so it was a solid 40-60mins). When I called to be seen, they scheduled me within the hour, took me right to my room, and had a comprehensive examination
