Valley Animal Hospital is located in rural Bath County, VA. Dr. Ellen Miller is the owner and sole practitioner at the hospital. She is aided in the practice by a small but dedicated staff. Mrs. Ann Ady has been with the practice for over 20 years. She is a combination of receptionist, and veterinary assistant and in general helps keeps the practice running smoothly.
Mrs. Candi Lowry keeps the hospital clean and the animals cared for in the mornings in addition to answering the phone. Mrs. Lowry's daughter Destynie is our weekend helper. Our small staff allows us to get to know our clients and patients well. A smaller staff also contributes to our being able to keep our charges affordable for our clients.

I moved to the area about a year and a half ago and needed a vet for my 4 dogs. I found Dr. Miller and immediately knew that she was the vet for my pets. She is great with my puppies and always responds immediately when there is an emergency. My family was here visiting me and their puppy had some sort of virus, Dr. Miller agreed to see the puppy in the middle of the night. She took the time to explain to my parents what was going on with the puppy and recommended an at home treatment, the puppy was better the next day. She is an honest, reliable and very knowledgeable vet that genuinely loves

Sometimes it takes minute getting you in and out(most likely due to covid practices and being small business), but they are wonderful vet clinic, if taken over ten of my families dogs here because there so conveniant. Also they only charge you and ask you what you need. Iv had other places attempt to do more work or "upsale" me. And they cut the chase and only give you what you ask for

Meh is best description. Had an emergency situation overnight ( severe broken canine leg) and waited until 7am to call the vet on home number. Obviously woke her up and she let us know it would take full hour to walk downstairs. Her staff was great. Her emergency splint was accurate. The timing and compassion was missing.
