I offer a unique approach and service if your teen is trouble. What I have found, many times, is that parents simply don't know where to start. They find themselves lost in a maze of questions and uncertainties, wanting the best for their child while not knowing what kind of help they need or how to get it.

Most people have become aware of our ever increasing and alarming rates of teen suicide. Utah is more than double the national average for completed teen suicide. Families who never thought this would be an issue for them are facing this problem and possibility while feeling powerless to do anything about it.
I work with clients that are in high conflict relationships to help them develop some more effective communication through a questioning method that has proven to be more effective in reducing conflict. Clients that learn to use this report that they have less conflict and make more progress in their relationships.
Even though my primary area of specialty is teens and families, I also enjoy working with adults and continue to work with adults of many ages on a number of issues. The first thing that you will notice about Scott is how much he cares about you as a patient. He has such a talent for helping you realize that you really do have the answers inside of you. He allows you to take ownership of the solutions to the problems you are facing while simultaneously helping you navigate the pitfalls that you may be placing in your own way. In this culture open minded therapists who can think outside of the Utah paradigm are difficult to find, in this sense Scott is truly a diamond in the rough. Over the years I have gone through multiple therapists who were unable to see past their cultural upbringing, I'm glad to say this is not the case here. I really enjoyed his non-judgmental perspective and he helped me work through a difficult time. My only regret is that I didn't have his sage advice sooner and spent years accumulating some of the knowledge he imparted to me within a few visits. Scott is the

Scott is the most thought provoking and intuitive counselor I have ever had. He has a knack for pulling out the real reasons why you are having issues...no matter what you are saying. His ability to surface the root cause is amazing. I have already referred a few friends to him and will always recommend him.
