SCAHRM's Mission is to provide its members with continuing education, networking opportunities and professional enhancements within the health care community. The Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM) is an affiliated chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), a Professional Membership Group (PMG) of the American Hospital Association.
The name of this organization shall be the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management, hereinafter referred to as the Organization or SCAHRM, an affiliate of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, hereinafter referred to as ASHRM. The principal office of SCAHRM shall be the mailing address of the incumbent president, unless otherwise designated by the Board of Directors.
SCAHRM's mission is to serve its members with the latest education and up to date resources. Our goal is to support members in their career journeys by providing learning pathways that enhance leadership skills and development. SCAHRM provides educational webinars, roundtables, workshops and seminars.
I feel SCAHRM consistently provides a tremendous value to Risk Professionals by providing the latest topics and trends with education, resources, networking, and a robust website. Having this support is especially crucial for those of us managing risk in California, the highest regulated state in the union having State-specific resources and networking opportunities.
In addition to our Annual Educational Conference the first week of May, SCAHRM offers in-person and online educational opportunities throughout the year. Depending on the topic, these sessions provide attendees with BRN, MCLE, and ASHRM/CPHRM credit. SCAHRM is a multiple activity provider for both BRN and MCLE credit for the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider #CEP10552) and State Bar of California (provider #18946), respectively.
