Sunflower Hill Child Care
We are a LifeWays daycare, inspired by Waldorf, with a healthy, holistic approach to childcare. We are growing and offer quality care at two locations in the metro area. We believe that the experiences of early childhood help lay the foundation for the child's future learning and interest in the world.

Young children love to play, explore, and discover new things. One has only to observe young children to realize that they are always moving. They also have very active imaginations, if given the chance to exercise them. Young children are taking their first steps in socializing with peers, learning how to share, and developing trust and respect for their caregivers.
Services
Sunflower Hill Child Care was founded in 2003. We are a Lifeway's and Waldorf inspired daycare, with a healthy, holistic approach to childcare. We believe that the experiences of early childhood help lay the foundation for the child's future learning and interest in the world. Our program is designed to encourage and support their healthy development.
Our toddler and preschool programs are designed to honor and to build healthy relationships with children and their families. Early relationships form the foundation for feeling safe and secure in the world, developing a sense of belonging and self worth, for future learning and success, and quite simply happiness.
Our toddler program is fully licensed for children ages 2 to 3 and is purposefully designed to feel like an extension of home. The young child is enveloped in a home like environment that is aesthetically pleasing, creating a feeling of warmth and beauty. The toys are constructed from natural materials that are simple in design to foster the blossoming imagination.

I got food poisoning on a road trip and happened to pull over Infront of this establishment. There was one car in the parking lot when this happened so I figured me throwing up as far from the building as I can, behind my car, would not be an issue because it was in the grass far from everything hidden from view and I wasn’t going to be there long. A lady came out of the building screaming profanities at me telling me this is private property and it’s a school and that I will go to jail

Miss Cailyn and Miss Tina are awesome! Cailyn was very thorough and helpful during the enrollment process. Our son has only been with us or nannies so we were very nervous about the transition into more of a school setting, but so far it has been amazing. Our little one comes home happy everyday and the feedback from the teachers is open and honest!

We had a wonderful experience at SHC. My daughter loved the teachers, the facility, and daily activities always so well thought out. It's such a nurturing center and a hidden gem in the community for families and children. I knew my daughter was always in great hands at Sunflower Hill.

What a wonderful facility! We started our daughter at the Lakewood center when she was 2.5. She had previously stayed at home with a parent or a nanny, and the staff at Sunflower Hill was wonderful in helping her make the transition! The teachers are loving, kind, and communicative. We love the kinds of activities that the kids get to do--they have lots of time outdoors, get to make creative crafts, bake bread together, garden, sing, read, and use their imaginations. We've been so happy to have our daughter in such a nurturing environment!
