Raised in a family of artists and entrepreneurs, Michael has always been drawn to great photography. As a youth, he pored over the pages of The New York Times Magazine, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Wintry days in New York were spent in art classes and at the library, where he immersed himself in the photography of Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz and William Helburn.
He took his first photo at 10 years old while on a family trip to Disney World, using his Mom's Kodak Instamatic camera, and has been making pictures ever since. Fortunate to have always worked within his passions, Michael spent time as a newspaper and sports photojournalist, has exhibited his work in shows and galleries and had his photographs published in magazines worldwide.

Every 90 session includes custom-styled wardrobe, full hair and makeup service, 3 high resolution retouched images & certified Hollywood model treatment.
I had the pleasure of working with Michael Verity Photography for an agency headshot session, and I am thrilled with my results. I was scheduled for a thirty minute session, with two looks/backgrounds, and two final images with standard retouching included. Not only did my agency help me select two headshots from the session, we even decided to get a third image retouched!
IMPORTANT: Bookings come in every day so dates and availability are always subject to change. Please contact us directly for the most up to the minute avails. 50% minimum non-refundable deposit required to book your session. Balance is due at the end of the session. All fees are paid via our invoicing system.

Michael Verity truly knows how to capture an actor. I felt incredibly relaxed during the session, and my headshots turned out beautiful. I would work with him a million times again! Additionally, his hair and makeup artist Karina Talaro is incredible, and made me feel so confident. They both did a wonderful job, and I can't wait for the next time. :)

I recently had the opportunity to work with Michael Verity when he took my daughter’s college graduation photos and as always, he was professional and a pleasure to work with. The photos he took were gorgeous and my daughter had a great time at the shoot. Michael has a way of bringing out the best in his photography subjects. Prior to this last session, we also used him for my daughter‘s high school graduation photos, which were also very beautiful. Michael is the only photographer I would use to capture a special occasion like this.

I'll be recommending Michael for anyone else I know who needs a headshot. I needed an author photo, found Michael's website through some reviews, and loved his photos. I reached out, and he was super prompt in getting back to me. His prices were reasonable, too. He was great in person, was very COVID safe, and I could tell he lives and breathes this stuff. He made me feel comfortable despite the awkwardness of having my photo taken, and the photos came out great. I ended up getting more than I originally planned. Thanks, Michael!

After searching for a headshot photographer, I stumbled across Michael's website. I initially was trying to find something somewhat close to home, but his online photos are so impressive, I decided to drive all the way from Albany to the Vancouver, WA area for my photography session. I was not disappointed. Michael and his makeup artist, Karina, are wonderful. I am very pleased with the photos, and am so glad I made the drive. If you live in the Portland area and need headshots, it should be a no brainer.
