Grief Care Counseling
Grief Care Counseling is now The Grief Club of Minnesota providing no cost services to participants. Grief has no age or time limits. It is a lifelong process that affects each of us in unique ways. Grief changes over time and can look different for children and teens at various developmental stages and life's milestones. Whether a child or teens' loved one died days, weeks, months or years ago we welcome them wherever they are on their journey.

My kids lost their dad at the age of 4, and I had issues to find a local service willing to take care of their grief at that age. Everyone locally (in Upstate NY) wanted us to wait until they were 6. When they were close to turn 6, COVID 19 made every office to close here. I needed help immediately, I was not willing to wait any more.
I found on line the web site of Grief Care Counseling and I decided to give them a try. Cara was awesome accommodating to their needs and also to my busy hours. All sessions were done by Zoom. The main problem was my boy, who was very angry, impulsive and even violent

My twins lost their dad when they just turn 4. No one locally wanted to help as "they were too young" to get counseling. They wanted me to wait until they were 6. Unfortunately, grief was creating behavioral issues in both, specially in my son, who was turning bitter, angry and violent. To make it better, as soon as they were close to 6, COVID 19 attacked and all the services locally closed. Cara was able to help us by Zoom. In less than 4 months I got my sweet baby back. Even he told her the last session he was not angry any more. What else can I ask? Happy kids, happy mom.

It’s a small office suite in a much bigger building and no one is ever there so it just doesn’t feel like a great environment for healing, I also feel like the telehealth services are only mediocre.
