We go here often, and enjoy a few staple items. Mostly we go for breakfast food at all times of the day. We are a late lunch/early dinner and we both got an egg omelet with american cheese and fried onions (our favorite). The pancakes are so good and we also love the corned beef hash, extra crispy. They serve 2 daily soups, we like the creamy chicken n rice and beef barley. Service is good and the the food comes out pretty quickly. If you want vegetables, they are pretty mushy, stick to the breakfast food, cheesesteaks and fries!

Went for lunch. Place was empty. My 81 year old mother ordered the special, tuna on croissant. The tuna had no flavor and then a very fishy aftertaste. The service was horrible the guy stunk, never saw him again until I asked the hostess if she would go down the aisle and wake our server up so we can get the check. He was asleep in a booth.

A good place to go if you're looking for something quick to eat. The prices are good for what you get most of the time. I got a cheese and ham omelet, but my omelet was swimming in cheese... I couldn't enjoy the taste of the egg and ham because the cheese was so overwhelming. My suggestion when ordering is to specify how much cheese you would like for your omelet... because the "normal" amount is quite a lot.

Driving through Jersey and my tire blew out so I had stopped at closest pep boys while waiting my friend and I decided to wait at this diner. When we walked in there was a strong odor of rotten fish (might have been one of the other guests). When we only ordered coffees the waiter was taken back definitely made me feel like we weren't worth the service. Glad this isn't my local diner.

I went here for breakfast & dinner in one sitting! The STEAK...let me tell you...it was not what you'd expect from a diner. It was EXCELLENT! The omelet tasted a bit on the fried side and was not very fluffy, so next time I will request a soft omelet and the hotcakes were great.
Oh- the service was great as well!
We WILL be returning!

I had lunch here yesterday with friends. Was not too impressed with the salad bar. Had chicken orzo soup which was okay. I ordered Chicken Sorrento over linguini which I really enjoyed. The very huge portion was enough for 3 people. I only could eat some and then needed to take the rest home. I always order a gallon of coffee with milk. Waitress was super good and kept my cup full.

I came here on a rather quiet Friday night. Had the prime rib au jus with the Manhattan clam chowder, salad bar, stewed green beans, potato salad, and bread pudding.
To begin with, the salad bar was messy, but it had the essentials: iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, etc.
The soup was okay... there were a good amount of clams and the broth was lukewarm but flavorful.
The entree, the prime rib was quite tasty. Unfortunately it wasn't very hot . The stewed beans and the potato salad that came as sides were mediocre at best.
Finally, the bread pudding was very strange. It wasn

Missed diner food, wish I had missed this one. I don't want to bash small town business but come on, man. Maybe breakfast would have been better. Saddest salad bar I have seen since they were invented, and the service was eh. The food was sub par. I got croquettes to relive my Jersey youth and they were NOT GOOD. So sad. Ate enough to travel on and left, the leftovers got chucked, no one wanted them. Just saying.

Typical Jersey Diner maybe a little better than average. Clean inside.
I always get breakfast here it seems, which most diners seem to be at least decent at. My go to dish is a Bacon, Spinach, and Feta Omelet. Omelets are fresh, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. Never greasy. Pretty big too. Maybe 4 eggs worth? Puts Ihop to shame. Generous parts of bacon, feta, and spinach too. Comes with toast and FRESH homefries, not the old gross ones. You know what I'm talking about. Which is a lot to ask for in most diners after the early morning.
Service has always been attentive and pleasant

This is one of the few local diners with a huge salad bar which is honestly the biggest draw to it. I've been a few times before and nothing sticks out as good or bad. If you're looking for a quick stop with plenty of options for anyone, the diamond diner is great. It's not the best restaurant in the area but it's certainly not bad either. Plus the portions are huge and you can't complain about that.

Pricey for breakfast, but quantity is more than enough.
I ordered the two eggs cooked over-easy with corned beef hash and it came with a side of toasts and home fries. ($9) I also ordered a side of bacon which were pretty expensive ($3.50).
The food didn't taste bland, and they did not skimp on quantity. The eggs were cooked over-easy and complemented the buttered white toasts. The crunchy and savory corned beef hash was served on a separate plate. My biggest disappointment was the home fries which was dry, bland, and boring. It looks like they just sliced a bunch of potatoes and fried it

Give you a lot of food for a really good price, lots of items to choose from. Salad bar is limited but everything is fresh.
Staff is super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the chicken parm and it came with soup and salad and by the end of the night I couldn't move (so much food) but super good here
