Services
We now offer you an easier way to take care of your pet. Request appointments, medication refills and get alerts when your pet is coming due for medical care. Dr. Robbins and her staff go the extra mile to accommodate me and my pets. They stayed open after hours to take a look at my kitten who was suffering from an allergic reaction.
Maintaining the health of your pet's teeth is one of the most important things you can do to increase the comfort and length of your pet's life! Gum and tooth disease can lead to endocarditis (heart valve infection), kidney and other organ infections. Your pet will enjoy life without pain of sore gums and abscessed teeth, and your pet health care expense in later years will be reduced.
We want to ensure a long life of health and happiness for your pet. In order to accomplish this, we recommend a series of visits for your puppy or kitten. During these visits, your pet will receive all vaccinations needed to maintain good health. In addition, a doctor will thoroughly examine your puppy or kitten to identify any potential problems.

I've taken my cats to many vets over the years, but I drive from SW DC because Dr. Robbins and her staff are absolutely amazing. I've been taking my cats to her for about 5 or 6 years and she's taken excellent care of them. I've never been rushed through my appointment and both she and the techs are kind and gentle. Her prices are fair and reasonable, making it significantly easier for people to properly take care of their pets. I've not had a better experience with another practice!!

Brought my puppy in because she wasn't acting normal at all. She's usually playful and runs around with her siblings every morning in the yard.. but the day I brought her in she was curled up in a ball and wasn't moving or eating. I told the doctor that this was not normal... without even really checking my puppy she came to a conclusion that my dog had an upset stomach because it was normal for puppies... I only came to this location because it was an emergency and I couldn't get an appointment at my regular vet office. So, after a week my puppy was still the same... I brought

They switched locations. Their Hospital is located in the Burtonsville Animal Hospital. They just did not take the sign down. The doctor is great! She has been there since my dog was a puppy and he is 8 now. She knows all her stuff. The new location smelled horrible when I got in and their was just dried pee in the hall. It does not take long for someone to wipe pee up. I did not like the scenery walking into the new location. The staff is informative but not super friendly. I'm still going to go here becuase of the doctor for sure.

So thankful to Briggs Chaney Animal Hospital for their support and kindness when our family had to put down our 17-year-old Husky-Golden Retriever named Luck "Lucky" last Saturday. It was the first time our family had to put down a beloved pet and it was a scary and heartbreaking experience but Briggs Chaney's staff made it as easy as possible for us. We then received a condolence card with Lucky's paw print and a bit of his hair with personal messages from the staff. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for making this difficult time a tiny bit easier

I've only come here a couple times, but you can tell that Dr. Robbins and her assistants all really love animals. They do their best to help and explain things thoroughly. She was very tender with my cat and seemed to pinpoint the problem pretty quickly. I would have given 5 stars, but while I love the cats in residence, their presence can stress out other cats that are already under duress.

Dr. Robbins and her team are the best. They are always 1. Super kind, 2. Willing to answer a million questions, and 3. And are so gentle with our dog. We initially came to the practice because of their reduced rate for the first appointment for dogs adopted at the Montgomery County rescue. Since then, we have stayed with them! We have had a couple times where we have had to come in last minute, and they always try their best to get us in as fast as possible. Vanessa is also kind, willing to answer questions, and is super organized. So happy we have them to bring our dog to!

I came in for an emergency visit at 5:30pm after calling at 5:15pm. My new kitten was coughing and sounded like she couldn't breathe, and I was extremely panicked. The people at the front desk were extremely kind, and they allowed me to come in even though they are not an emergency hospital and even though I was a new patient. Everyone was extremely kind and I was in and out within one hour. The staff were wonderful with my kitten and were patient with me as I explained my concerns. Although I was planning to take my cat to my family's vet, I will be sticking with Briggs Chaney Animal

Briggs Chaney Animal Hospital, although it is a small clinic, is a very professional and friendly environment. Dr. Robins has been great with both of my dogs and it means a lot to me considering one of my dogs has a rare disorder and is in and out of the vet every few weeks. Dr. Robins is always time-sensitive and will never leave you waiting around with questions. Her and her team are great and will be with you every step of the way.

Briggs Chaney Animal Hospital is where we take our many elderly rescue animals. We have always had exemplary fast service, affordable care, and thoughtful compassionate help at Briggs Chaney. Dr. Suzanne Robbins is a warm, compassionate, thoughtful, and responsive vet. Her technical staff are kind, careful, charming, and excellent with animals.
This small animal hospital has most amenities, reasonable rates, and a live in staff of animals that Dr. Robbins has rescue from owners who did not want to save them. The staff are able to take x-rays, formulate medications, and provide prescription

In the past, I had a fairly neutral experience with Dr. Tinetti. The staff are nice, facility clean. Dr. Tinetti's bedside manner leaves something to be desired, but I usually appreciated his straight forward, no sugar coating approach. This year's annual visit with my 12.5 yo Rottweiler mix went very poorly. I found a relatively small mass (smaller than a golf ball) on her abdomen. During her visit, I asked for senior bloodwork & for this mass to be examined. Dr. Tinetti was surprised that I wanted bloodwork performed, so I explained to him why I felt it important

My wife and I have taken our cat, K9, to Dr. Tinettii for several years and have always found him to be a thorough , knowledgeable and skilled veterinarian. K9 our cat can be a good bit difficult to handle, bitting, scratching and hissing when she is at her checkup and I am amazed at how Dr. Tinetti is able to calmly examine and treat her. His staff are friendly and his office facility is nice and well maintained.

I have been going to Burtonsville Animal Hospital for 30 years and Dr. Tinetti has been my family's vet for most of that time. They have seen our pets through pneumonia, COPD, seizures, pulled muscles and regular routine care. I trust his advice and recommendations. Our first 3 cats who were an indoor/outdoor cats lived to be 14 and older. My current cats are 9, 11 and 13 years old as indoor only.
Last year I had a cat that was diagnosed with kidney failure at 12 years old. Dr. Tinetti clearly told me when I first appeared when she was not acting right that if her symptoms did not

BEWARE! I have been taking all of my pets to Dr. Tinetti at Burtonsville Animal Hospital for over a decade. I always liked how he didn't recommend a lot of expensive stuff. He's a very bare-bones vet. You won't get charged for unneccessary things.
Unfortunately, I recently found out that the downside is that sometimes they don't do the NECESSARY things.
Fortunately, none of my animals ever had a serious illness the entire time we have been going to Burtonsville Animal Hospital, so it did take over a decade to learn the hard way.

Dr. Robbins is a true animal lover. I've always been impressed with her kindness, patience and willingness to answer all of my questions, but this week she came through for me in the biggest way because her medical skills and caring saved my cat's life.
She never gave up on him and stuck with him and kept trying. Her efforts paid off. She unblocked the blockage in his urethra and saved him. I'll always be grateful.
The prices at this clinic are very fair. They are very flexible with scheduling and really work to accommodate your needs. The staff are always very loving and gentle

Dr. Robbins is A-Mazing. She is what every veterinarian should strive to be. She is thoughtful, compassionate, she listens & informs, she never rushes you either. I can also tell how good of a vet/doctor she is because she hires good staff. Everyone I have encountered there on her staff have been bright minded, earnest, and animal lovers. I say this because I have been to vets and there was zero love + high bill. That is another thing I'd like to point out. Dr. Robbins has always been honest with her pricing with me. She has fair prices + on top of that coupled with the genuine
